10.0 Excellent
Pros: Estero Inn is one of our favorite places. Great location, right on the wharf and water and very friendly staff. It was a late anniversary stay, but John still gifted us a bottle of champagne on ice, chocolates. Parking has never been a problem and the hotel is always very clean. Breakfast may lack a little, but who wants to rise that early anyway. Hope to be there next year once again.
Cons: Not much. The place is a great stay with perfect views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean place. Location was great.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great place in ,quirky little town
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable, room was well equipped, view was fantastic, breakfast was excellent
Cons: Our only gripe was the easy chairs. 1. There was no room to turn them so as to enjoy the beautiful view 2. The seat cushions were not good - they had lost their "loft" so that you could feel the frame of the chair You could not sit comfortably for more than a few minutes!

Pros: Great attention to detail - very clean - very friendly-

Pros: Location and a bottle of bubbles for a celebration.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing, very friendly staff and visitor's. Location is the best . Quite. Only a couple blocks from ocean, restaurants and great shops.

Pros: Pet friendly, very clean, perfect location, daily complimentary breakfast brought to your room.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Hard to get ahold of staff. Minimal time to check in or check out when the staff was present. Didnt like having the coffee pot in the bathroom next to the toilet. No place in the bathroom to put your toiletries for two people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location the staff.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked one night of our trip up the coast. The reviews do not do justice to this inn. The young lady who checked us in was so welcoming and when we entered our room it was like !WOW! The breakfast and coffee/cappuccino were hot, delicious and freshly made. Will definitely return.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Beware I would not recommend!! Base bed sheet did not cover the mattress protector by a foot. We had a power cut which could not be helped but there no staff on site at all - nobody out of respect to ask. When I arrived the guy in the reception was challenging a guest on the phone as he had realised that the rates on the internet for next years graduation dates were wrong and too low. Although this person had legitimately made the reservation he stated that her card had expired when it hadn’t!! Also please beware too, you book your breakfast the night before and it is served to you from a trolley out in the open air but a server who is self employed for this provision. This certainly would not pass health and safety, there were cars starting up within feet way and the exhaust fumes blowing directly in the vicinity where the food was being served! I have emailed the Beach Bungalow with my concerns on three occasions and have not had any response whatsoever. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
7.5 Good
Pros: We didn't have the breakfast as we met with a friend at Kitty's on Main St. The bungalow was very nice, we had two rooms, one with a king size bed and one with a queen size bed. Both rooms were accessible to the bathroom.
Cons: Outside of the room there was some type of buzzing alarm that we could hear inside both rooms. It was quite loud and it started around 5:45 pm and continued until 12:00 am. I did contact the office personnel, he came over to the room and described it as a type of alarm regarding the gas line. He did call someone but it was very irritating that nothing could be done about it.

7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from the 2nd & 3rd floors was great.
Cons: I’ve never encountered such a bitchy man working the front desk at our check in. Perhaps he had a very difficult early afternoon with hotel guests, but by the time we checked in, he was extremely cranky, rude and talked down to us. Since I own a business and require my employees to be courteous and pleasant, he wouldn’t last a day. The breakfast was minimal continental, with most of the seating outside; lucky for us it was summer time and not rainy. And I missed that the hotel was 3 floors with no elevator. I have arthritic knees and am 71 years old. This wouldn’t have been a choice if I had known we were booked on the top floor and had to carry up our own luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was beautifully appointed and very clean. Easy to walk to downtown and restaurants.
8.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, modern comfy and clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location- steps to the waterfront! Rooms are new and updated, stylish and charming.
Cons: Room didn’t have an iron- we had to go check one out at the front desk.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was super clean, beds comfortable. Quiet location (except for the seagulls! they are loud, all night!) near all the great restaurants, coastal walk etc. Friendly staff. Cute little chairs, tables out front for an afternoon bevvy. Sat farmer's market was cute, and just up the street.
Cons: Breakfast was minimal, a couple muffins, hard boiled eggs, packs oatmeal, oranges. But on the plus side, coffee machine is the real deal, cappuccino, latte, fresh ground beans!
9.3 Excellent
Cons: I booked 3 rooms for 3 families & we were situated on the ground floor. We can hear footsteps, bed creaking, moaning & grunting from the rooms above us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Super clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was in the center of it all! It was so clean and comfortable. We loved the nautical decor! Great experience!!

Pros: Perfect location! Room was very nice. The going man who greeted us was so personable! Great stay.
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly. Location was great.
Cons: Looked like it hasn't been updated since the 80s. Every cupboard was nailed shut. no iron. Online price including their fee was 125, I still got charged 131 a night.

Pros: The rooms were very clean and well though out with everything you need for an overnight stay. Bathroom spotless with a great shower and fluffy towels. Just a few minutes walk from the sea and all attractions. Lovely staff who were so helpful.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of owners(?). Cheerful decor of room.
Cons: Had trouble with Wi-Fi connection, but not a big deal at the time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Parking should have designated stalls per room number.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It is fairly quiet during the night, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are warm. The inn is relatively close to the pier area, and in (extended) walking distance to the Morro Rock itself (about 20 min walk).
Cons: The rooms are rather small, the bathroom is tiny, and the bed sheets were a bit smelly (not necessarily unclean, but whatever detergent is used leaves a nasty smell). While there are not many more comforts to be expected from an inn, value for money does not seem to be on the best balance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, great shower, fair size room
Cons: Mattress should be replaced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small one story motel where you park in front of your room. The place shows the pride of ownership of the couple that run it. The appreciation they have for their guests shows in many subtle way.
Cons: Rooms and the bathroom are a bit small. Flat panel TV but no HD content available.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner Ann was very friendly and helpful in taking care of any request
Cons: The floor needed cleaning but we wore our shower shoes so it was not a problem. Also the bed was slopping down on the sides so I kept slipping off

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: It was possible to hear some noises from street
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Save money and bring your own food to cook. Store only half mile away. Oven big enough to cook a full pot roast or roast chicken.... So good. They provide pots and pans and utensils, even a can opener.
Cons: Not much really. Most was great. Kitchen needed an oven mitt and a sharp knife to cut foods but we made it work.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel has a charming appearance and an excellent location, and the room has a refrigerator. The staff is pleasant and the room clean.
Cons: My room was very tiny and cramped, without overhead lighting (lamp and reading lamp over head of bed); no space to hang clothes or towels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: Nothing to not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very big and comfy. Very clean. They leave a snack box in room for the guest. I was there for my Birthday and when I told them they put a Happy Birthday Debra on the billboard!! The seats outside were a nice touch we met our neighbor and sat outside talking for a while so that was nice. Walking distance to lots of things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable and provided dog bowls with complementary snacks for humans and pets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parking convenient view
Cons: Locations Staff Clean
6.8 Good
Pros: The big king bed very comfy. Close to Embarcadero. Excellent location. Nice to have a kitchen though so small it’s hard to maneuver. Pet friendly.
Cons: The whole facility needs renovation in the worst way. The bathroom ridiculous can only get in walking sideways! We have been coming to Morro Bay for years it’s really sad the hotel prices have gotten so high. Paying over $200 per night for this place is crazy. Will try Air BnB next time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect and the staff is so friendly and treat you like family. Its a smaller motel style that is TOP OF THE LINE for its style. Its exactly what we prefer for beach cottage style fun ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Cons: NOT A THING

Cons: Could use more variety and higher quality items on breakfast line
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with a view of Morro Rock. Quiet & clean. Friendly staff. Great stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean location, my wife and I started going to this hotel 27 yrs ago on our honeymoon. We try and go at least once a year. We will be planning another trip in sept for our 28th anniversary trip
Cons: ?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent! Everything was walking distance. Room and view was really nice.
Cons: Bed was not as comfortable as I thought. It didn’t support my back and woke up a little ache.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked the parking and location.
Cons: Bathrooms were too small and units had thin walls. It was too noisy in the unit, probably would not work for us in future.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We love this hotel next to the bay
Cons: Price was a little high in the middle of the week
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was very nice. Easy to have pets there.
Cons: Nothing. It was all good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything- what a fantastic location! Delicious breakfast, a great find
Cons: The breakfast room attendant was struggling to top everything up fast enough. Otherwise, I can’t fault it.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was spacious and location great, right on water.
Cons: So in the pictures the hotel looks as if it has been remodeled and some of it has but it is as if they ran out of money. The staff leaves at night, there is no one there in case you need something, such as toilet paper, which we ran out of. Very unpleasant. Staff returns at 8 the next morning. Also when I made the reservations it appeared as if pets were not allowed but once on property we noticed that was not the case. My kids have allergies to pet fur etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the balcony and being able to see the ocean and people watch, it was located at the end of the Strip so we could walk to the park with the dogs or walk the strip and shop and we did a lot of that. Our Inn is so well known that when we ordered pizza delivered all I had to say was Embarcadero Inn and our room number. My son and dogs slept like ,well dogs..lol the fireplace was awesome..I just can't say it was one thing, because really between Mike at the desk and how comfortable the room was that made our stay so great. Thank you
Cons: We couldn't stay longer
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing. Was very nice.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed one night, for this is was good.
Cons: The wifi connection is not the best and the fridge is quite loud.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was located in a prime location, close to the Embarcadero and downtown. Our room was very clean and featured a great view of Morro Rock. There was adequate parking with no fee. Because we were here for a family emergency, we couldn’t take advantage of these benefits.
Cons: The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. We had a king-sized bed, but the pillows were extraordinarily small and hard! Because of the family emergency, we sorely needed rest. Although we paid a premium price for the room (high season), we did not experience that.
7.5 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable, staff was very helpful & friendly, room was clean
Cons: The breakfast could have had a better variety & more hot foods such as oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. The start time for breakfast could be earlier, we like to go out on our boat early, but in order to get breakfast first we have to wait until 7:30, it would be nice to bump that time up to at least 6:30
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room,friendly staff
1.0 Poor

Cons: Very poor maid service They didn’t even make the bed or clean the bath room just changed towels that’s all for that kin of rate least we should get is a clean room with good house keeping The breakfast was also very sub optimal
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed my stay in la Serena Inn. We were on our honeymoon and we booking a room here because of the position (By the way amazing!! You can go to the Pier by walking 10 minutes and you can see the Morro by your window). When we arrived, the girls at the reception were very nice and they left in our room a bottle and a message to congrats for our wedding. So nice!! Parking was free and we could leave our car untill 3 pm after check out in the morning. the staff let us to walk and discover Morro bay until 3 pm with no additional charge. we appreciated a lot!!!!
Cons: Breakfast was mostly continental with waffle, juice and cereal. I would like to have also some sausagel or eggs cooked in different ways, but it is my personal opinion, if you like a sweet breakfast is very nice and complete. Rooms need a refresh, but they have everything you need!! TV, fridge, freezer, welcome products in bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location.

C$ 182+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Blue Sail Inn in Morro Bay, you'll be near the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The hotel provided a room with an ocean view. Restaurants and souvenir stores in a walking distance.
Cons: The view is not as pretty as on the photos. The hotel was not remodeled.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is awesome. Close walk to everything downtown. Breakfast was enough to start the day and the breakfast room staff was very friendly. Oatmeal, cereal, toast, muffins, bagels, English muffins, pastries, hard boiled eggs and even a pancake maker. Coffee, milk, juice are also provided as well as fruit. So, it's enough to start your day and get you through till lunch. It was quiet and we had a view of the bay, Morro Rock and the shops below. We would stay again when in the area. The screen to our balcony needs to be replaced but that is an easy fix. I'm hoping that soon they will start updating the rooms as they are looking a little worn but it was a great trip and we loved our view.
Cons: Nothing to dislike really just maybe the parking is an issue. Several times we had to park across the street but for us that was not an issue, others might not agree. If walking a distance or having to use stairs like we did for our room then it might be hard for older guests or families with small children since that is where the breakfast room is as well.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, view from 2nd floor was beautiful looking directly at Morro Rock. Good parking, didn't have to drive anywhere for lunch or dinner unless you wanted to. Many restaurants and shops in very easy walking distance, although there are stairs to navigate if you want to walk to the embaradero. Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast provided eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, etc., plenty of coffee.
Cons: Pillows are very hard - had to sleep without one or get a stiff neck. Room had a stale odor which persisted for hours- staff offered to move us to another room. Dissipated by evening with window opened.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Not much to do there unless you want to go on the water fishing, boating, canoeing, everything closes early around eight, we came here as a stop gap on our way to Solvang a beautiful danish town.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to town, great location and view
Cons: No pool, no jacuzzi. Decor is dated very close to town
6.3 Good
Pros: View. Fresh air. Parking.
Cons: Power out half the stay ! Alarm sounds repeatedly as if a disaster drill (2-3 am). Unable to sleep half the night. Unable to use elevator with luggage (have spinal stenosis). Bathroom dark, unsafe to shower. Cannot use window for fresh air (sea lions barking into the night...too noisy). No TV. No WiFi. No I’m-room coffee (All systems down.) Continental breakfast should be better.

Cons: Location, location, location! This very nice and friendly-staffed hotel is at the corner of the busiest intersection in Morro Bay. Numbskull tourists from Bakersfield drive in circles with their obnoxious, lifted, loud trucks. Bring earplugs!

Pros: It was a four block walk to the shops/water. Our room was very clean and had a microwave and refrigerator. Manager was very nice and very accommodating to our needs.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It was quiet. That's about all I can say that was likable. Oh, and free parking.
Cons: Room was sorely in need of updating. I looked for bedbugs because it looked that worn and dingy. It was very small and the bed was the smallest queen sized I'd ever seen. Heavy detergent smell. TINY bathroom, altho recently updated with granite & tile - but this hotel dares not do any further upgrade because it isn't & never could be ADA compliant. And this room was $200! I spent $209 the next night in Burbank at a chain hotel which was fresh, comfortable & 3 times the size. Terrible value for the money at Morro Crest - this room was more like an old Motel 6!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Close to everything
Cons: No air conditioning

Pros: The room was comfortable and clean, great location in a nice little town
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, super clean. There are specific towels for cleaning, using makeup, or showering, which demonstrates the level of care this hotel has for keeping everything nice at the property. Good microwave and big mini fridge. Walk-in closet
Cons: Can be a bit loud at night / you can hear people snoring in other rooms or people outside. The cover under the sheets of the bed is a bit loud if you move I stayed here on a deal they were offering but I’m not sure I would have stayed for the full price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and accessible to the Embarcadero. Karen at the desk was friendly and very informative about what was around the town and places of interest
Cons: I liked everything! No negative report to give you

5.0 Okay
Pros: The size of the room. The original decoration

Pros: Location of the Hotels was just fine, just two blocks away from the beach
Cons: Newly staff working at the time of checking in..
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was awesome!
Cons: Check in time was easy but room was not ready! We waited with all our belongings in the hallway feeling exposed for about an hour ! There was a power outage and no type of comfort or security from property just had to sit in the dark for several hours with scared children during their summer vacation days! Then the next morning no cable at all as we woke and got dressed to check out ! Bad experience this time around ! Not to sure if management changed since March ?

Pros: I liked the location, parking and the beds. Rooms were quiet and the fireplace made it cozy. The awareness of sustainability was good.
Cons: Breakfast food too sweet and not healthy. But eggs were good and so was the complimentary coffee. All in all I give ascot a good grade and I would return if given the opportunity again.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was super clean and the sheets on the bed felt like home. The bed was firm and the pillows were great.
Cons: It was a bit unusual that 2 very small windows didn't have shades (frosted glass though), so the morning sun came in very early. Also, we would have appreciated on demand movies or something similar to wind down the day with.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and value. It is dated, but new imitation hardwood floors a plus.
7.5 Good
Pros: The place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean. Good location.
Cons: Mediocre to bad motel. Overpriced. Outdated decor. Thin walls.
7.5 Good
Pros: This motel could definitely use some upgrading but for the price it met our needs. View of the water from room when not foggy. Easy parking. Generally clean. Check in was quick.
Cons: The bathtub had a number of scratches and marks. At first I thought that it hadn't been cleaned but it was clean - just many scratches through the enamel that looked like sand. The tile counter had quite a bit of mildew. My mom felt that the lights beside the bed were not safe. It wasn't explained that we would have saved money if we had opted to have them not clean the room - although I'm not sure if this is the case. The registration sheet had an option of having the room cleaned or not. It wasn't explained whether the $5 fee would be waived or not if we selected this option. I had forgotten that there was this $5/day fee. If it wouldn't have been waived then I don't know what the daily fee is for. Staff was polite but didn't really offer any information.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: It was very old and paint was chipping. The door didnt fit tight and there was no secondary lock on the inside. When the people next door were smoking outside, it came right into our room thru the space in the door. The staff were great, it's just the place seems s little run down. We wont be staying there agsin.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was really good.

Pros: Location is excellent, right across the street from several sea food restaurants. I was traveling with a service dog and they even provided a gift bag for him that contained a dog toy and dog biscuits.
Cons: The room was a bit small and the configuration was a little odd but it was only one of two upstairs rooms and I just thought it was due to architectural and constructional limitations.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent--they have a lost of really pleasant seating areas outdoors which works great as they are dog friendly. Room 20 on the 2nd floor has a killer view of the Rock & the embarcadero! Great location for lots of walks.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Even though the Seaside Inn at Morro Bay is a small hotel, the staff was excellent and friendly. It looked as though there were some recent renovations that made this small hotel just minutes from the beach a great value! I would stay again at the Seaside Inn at Morro Bay.
7.0 Good
Pros: I just needed a place to sleep for the night. And I wanted to be in walking distance of Dorn's for dinner. The room met my needs. It was Inexpensive, clean, quiet. It had decent wifi access. And it was a short walk to the waterfront. It had a surprisingly nice, and large, shower.
Cons: The layout of the room and bathroom was a bit awkward for using the desk. It Worked great for one person. But you would have to get out of the chair, and push it around the bed to let another person get past you to the bathroom. That is not a big inconvenience. Simply putting a chair without armrests in the room, would fix that.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, fair amenities and the owner was lovely
