Nice atmosphere created by super staff
Intrusive dog made me sneeze, owner didn't stop it slobbering on me
The hotel was extremely good and we enjoyed our stay. It was friendly, welcoming and comfortable. Everyone was very accomodating and efficient and it felt home from home. The real log fire was the icing on the cake!!
traditional pub ambience, roaring log fire in bar and good service there.
cramped reception area, inability of staff to deal with 2 sets of guests arriving together, poor quality breakfast, one inedible choice at dinner
Great Food and very good staff.
Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff who knew what they were doing and seemed to enjoy doing it.
we particularly enjoyed dinner on saturday night
if I want to be critical I found the furnishings in the suite dated, comfortable but not as pleasing to the eye as one might expect.
Helpful staff and what I imagined a coaching inn would be like.
Poor quality toilet paper in room compared to the public bar toilet. No biscuits in room.
Good location, lovely food and excellent staff.
Room rather cluttered, though comfortable and adequate. Lack of central heating, but heaters good.
Friendly staff and honest down to earth food ( I ate in the bar)
The room was a little shabby and the plumbing eccentric. And, although all the advertising says that the Hotel is 17th Century, surely it's 18th.
room decor was good
walls quite thin
