I did not eat at the property, but the staff was very friendly and I had a very good stay. I was here for a weekend of biking both road and off road.
The bed was a bit too hard fore my liking.
Great location for eating and close to ski shuttles. Owners helpful and friendly and provided transfers to the station on arrival and departure. Great privacy. Comfortable sleeping space. Toaster oven appreciated.
Living space of cottage not very spacious and comfortable for a family to hang around in. Area has poor public transport options to get around Hakuba to supermarkets, onsen, shops etc. Couldn't connect to old TV for streaming.
Hotel owner Shing was very temperamental. Shouted at us once for spilling coffee by mistake. Also seemed annoyed that we were there in general... we felt like an inconvenience. HOWEVER, he did book the ski school and taxis and ski pass for us which was very helpful.
A great location in the heart of Echoland and cosy cottage which was nice after a long day boarding, staff were happy to drive me to the bus port for my departure which was greatly appreciated on a cold winters day
The bedding was quite simple but there was no shortage of blankets and the bathroom facilities was quite cramped but i am 6'4, the adjoining cottage has thin walls as well but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience
Well managed pension. Rooms and common facilities are clean. Walls are thin but during my stay all guests behaved respectably.
The breakfast (continental style) is minimal, you can t expect much for 600 JPY. Annoying music, played from morning to evening in the hall ways but can be well heard in the rooms. God knows who wants to listen to soothing piano/guitar tunes all day long.
