1. Kayak said there was free parking here. I was staying two nights from Boston, so this was a MAJOR reason why I booked the room. 2. Upon arrival the person at the front desk was not polite when speaking about the parking. First he said “show me where it says free parking and I’ll honor it.” I showed him my booking info, then he said “well there just isn’t free parking in NYC, that’s not our prob...

Pros (+) Great staff, clean bathrooms
Cons (-) No AC, so bring a fan in the summer. Also, shared bathrooms, which in my opinion is no big deal, but still, something to keep in mind

Pros (+) We had a great stay at the Colonial House. Great location, the staff went above and beyond to offer amenities as a nursing mother traveling without baby. Breakfast and happy hour were great offerings. It was a great stay!

Pros (+) The location was fabulous - we walked every day to Chelsea Market and the High Line. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. Friendly staff and it was nice to sit on the rooftop at night with a glass of wine and some snacks from the corner gourmet grocery.Shared baths were clean and always accessible. The fellow travelers were also interesting! Great simple breakfast made it easier to start the day...
Cons (-) There are 3 flights of stairs and our room was on the third floor which was inconvenient but we lived with it. The standard room had a queen bed but the bed was wall to wall so we had to roll over to get to the other side of the bed.
