Elevator & private bathroom for the neighborhood & price hard to beat. Italian sheets & courteous staff earned extra stars. Great bathroom products.
Noisy neighbor situation, but that was investigated quickly by staff, with reassurances. 24-hour subway on Manhattan Bridge, but that was barely noticeable with double windows & blackout curtains.

Walking distance to subway. Staffs are very nice and helpful. They will give you detail information about nearby restaurants. Free maps too.
You can hear subway trains' noise from Manhattan bridge.

The staff are all unbelievably nice and accommodating. We were able to leave our bags there early in the day and got a text when our room was ready. We were handed a carefully curated list of food recommendations for the area. Very personal experience.
It would've been nice to have temperature control in the room. It was quite warm. We ventilated with the window open before bed, then closed it when we went to sleep.

Overview
For those wanting a walkable Manhattan vacation, Hotel Mimosa is the ideal accommodation. This 30-room boutique hotel borders the very trendy Lower East Side area, but is within walking distance of Soho, Nolita, Chinatown, and Little Italy. Guests can walk to all of the trendy shops, art galleries, nightlife options, and culinary establishments with ease. The entire property is 100% smoke-free, and there is no on site parking.
The guest rooms can be booked in Queen, Superior Queen, Twin, or King-sized options. Each room is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style with plenty of classic elements. Much of the artwork is Asian inspired, and the bathrooms are stocked with luxurious bath products. The lobby has a very chic and eclectic style that greets guests upon entry, and the wallpaper in the hallways is full of vibrant colors. There are complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate drinks available in the lobby. The front desk can help with baggage storage for guests that arrive before check-in, and there are safety deposit boxes for valuables. The business center offers WiFi and a printer. There are elevators to the various levels of the hotel, and electric kettles can be provided upon request. Laundry service is also available, and there are vending machines and an ice machine for guest use.
The property was given a Guest Review Award in 2018 from Booking. com and it also received the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. On the Orbitz site, 100% of guests recommended Hotel Mimosa.
