i think this hotel was very poor i have stayed in many hotels and will never stop in there again.
Good location, friendly and calm receptionist. Decent breakfast.
Cold radiators and noisy latecomers
The room was warm and cozy. The sevice was good and staff were helpful. The shower was excellent. Iron and board was also provided. There was shoe polish sponge which was handy. Good tea coffee facility.
The hotel is old and the door doesnt lock from inside properly. Internet facility is poor. 25 mins walk from the civic centre /city centre. Breakfast is not included in the cost.
we could not open the window
staff were not friendly or welcoming !
decor in hall way leading up to rooms, looked like the queen vic!!
Close to Metro - easy to get to city centre. Good local restaurants though little info about them at the hotel.
Requested non-smoking family room but it had clearly been used by smokers on a regular basis in the fairly recent past. Also, room was sited directly above the bar - not well positioned for a family room as the bar/disco operated until 11.30 on Saturday evening. Ample food for breakfast but mediocre quality - also difficult to cater for restricted diet (eg my daughter has a wheat allergy). Shower did not work.
Room was old fashioned
Breakfast was very good
Could of been cleaner room smelt of cigarette smoke. Outside balcony needs cleaning
Staff were friendly
The radio, hairdryer and telephone did not work. Curtains were falling down in bathroom.
