Friendly and helpful reception staff
The rooms were great! Very clean, good standard, nice decor, a lot bigger than expected too. We stayed on ground 0 so we had a nice old Victorian range cooker as decor with beamed ceilings.
Although it had just been a very hot weekend (August bank hol) the penthouse room was ridiculously hot where my friend was staying. I thought our room would’ve stayed cool as we were in the basement but I woke up at 1:30am with it being quite hot in the room. They did provide us with fans but as times are changing and hot weather becoming more frequent in the UK they may want to think about investing in some air con machines. Maybe even free standing ones so they can be used only when guests require! This was the only thing that let the stay down.
Carpet in basement was a little uneven and you could feel th floor underneath.
Clean, spacious and modern
Nothing in particular
The room was spectacularly good value for money, I didn't think the room would live up to the pictures but it did that and then some!
We happened to be in a basement level room so there wasn't a huge amount of natural light, but that's being seriously picky and I think we were in the only room at this level.
