With impressive expansive views of Hajjar Mountains, Alila Jabal Akhdar is set 2,000 meters above sea level and offers a range of unique activities, such as geology tours and stargazing, just a 2.5 hour drive from Muscat International Airport. Offering 86 beautifully-appointed suites and villas with private pools, it also features an outdoor infinity and indoor pool as well as a 24-hour gym and event facilities.

Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, cooking classes, picnics in the Wadi's or experience the warm hospitality of the Omani people with a tour of the local villages. There is also free private parking on site for those travelling with a car.

Cons (-) Higher quality toilet seats. Cheap plastic seats that don’t stay up detract from the overall outstanding fixtures, fittings and decor in the resort. Bigger towels would also be good.
