The scenery was fab. Outdoor pool warm and nice with a lovely view. Although the entrance for the pool area (which is the whole reason why you choose to stay at a spa hotel in the first place) was not included in the price for the room booking and a really expensive add-on.
Very price entrance to the spa area with one nice pool where the indoor pool was very grubby looking, worn down and not very inviting. Too pricey and we were forced to choose a wine from the pre-decided set-menu recommendations at dinner. Overall I was shocked by the total sum for us, two people, staying at the hotel for one night, including a meal at the restaurant which exceeded 6000 swe kr.
The breakfast is very good. The beds are super-comfortable. The spa is very nice with beautiful views of the bay and great saunas. The spa was busy but did not feel cramped due to the multiple options of saunas and pools. We both really appreciated the massage.
The dinner was average, I would have expected a higher standard as the hotel is very lovely. My husband does not speak Swedish and I was surprised that several members of staff seemed uncomfortable speaking English.
The surrounding area is amazing. The spa is also nice, only I wasn't actually allowed to use it...
I only went there to use the spa that was advertised to be on site and free for guests. When I arrived, it was closed and I was told I cannot use it in my price anyways. They realized it was their mistake for falsely advertising after a long fight and refunded me 400SEK which is a pretty lame discount based on my whole reason for being there being gone.
A few more toiletries in the rooms would have been good
Just because I’m on my own doesn’t mean I want a small bed. I wish there would be bigger beds for 1 person as well. I want a comfy big bed when I stay at a hotel, not a small one.
