Excellent breakfast, efficient staff, great location

Noise from the street both late evening and very early morning was very bad. No air conditioning.

Courteous, helpful and professional staff across all the hotel divisions. Lovely breakfast offering a wide choice. Very centrally located enabling effortless access to Oslo's many attractions.

Small room and very sparely furnished. Furniture quality is cheap and finished in a dark tone which absorbs the little natural light available. More thought could be given to brightening up the mood of the room. It's a bit dated really. A cabinet door over the mini fridge was literally unhinged and continuously fell out of place. The shower/toilet is refurbished to a high standard with sufficient pressure from the shower unit. The corridor is very tired. Floor coverings are grotty. The transitions through corridor spaces have change level steps which should be more carefully detailed to avoid trip hazard risk and ditto for the stairs whereby the stair carpet trim at each floor level presents as a trip hazard also. While the breakfast dining area is physically comfortable, the tonal values of the wall colours are bit too full for my liking. Buff or off-white is a very tired and dated colour accent. While colour is quite subjective, I think clean, bright and sharp white would smarten things up a bit and perhaps some consideration of this could be given to the bedrooms also. The breakfasts are great, offering a wide choice to suit many tastes. Staff are efficient, polite and very professional. Superb location leaving guests well placed to get about Oslo effortlessly.
