- Excellent animation team. Evening shows from 21:30 are entertaining, during the day a lot of activities. Friendly animation staff. - Great live shows in the lobby bar also. - Excellent WiFi, WiFi is available everywhere, including beaches. - If your birthday happens to be during your stay, you will receive a surprise. - A decent selection of international drinks are included in all inclusive menu, Pepsi comes in bottle, the variety of drinks is wide. - Friendly cats and most of them can be pet :) (if you walk along the alleys you can spot them sometimes) - Selection of fruits in the restaurant, you can even find avocado, passion fruit or dragon fruit. - Resort is large enough to have long walks inside it. - The view at the seaside is spectacular - Food in the main restaurant. Large variety of dishes, the sweets were great too. The lunch at Dionyssos is perfect if you are a fast food fan: great burgers, fries, pizza, kebapches, with lot of sauces, cheese and vegetables to create your burger. - We received a voucher for a free massage as a welcome gift.
Dress code for dinner is not a recommendation, it's a requirement at this location. You are not allowed to enter the restaurant if you don't comply with their rules. Moreover if you don't know about this rule and you try to enter the restaurant in bermuda pants, you are rejected in a rude way by the staff at the Dias restaurant's entrance. Word sorry is totally unknown for them, you will never hear words like "sorry for not being allowed to permit your access", instead your are told on an aggressive tone that you should have visited Iberostar official website to inform yourself about their restrictions prior to your arrival. It's not about the interdiction to enter, rules are the same for all, but about the attitude you have to face and is even more surprising to receive such a treatment from a person with a lot of experience in the tourism field and from an employee of a chain of hotels with a generally good image. In the actual format the dress code rule for dinner is terrible and an update might help: 1. It is highly discriminatory as it states restrictions only for gentlemen while for ladies allows everything. 2. It allows tourists to enter the restaurant for dinner in flip flops, sandals, football/sport shirts, long gym pants, (seen absolutely all of these), so it has nothing to do with an exclusive location if this was the purpose of the restriction. Might help to update the rules to be more relaxed as the ones from Iberostar Punta Cana where bermuda shorts and sandals are allowed, which will be more adequate for a seaside facility far from any other village, city or restaurant, or contrary, make them more demanding in order to create a truly exclusive location. Moreover, even if on the official website the dress code rule is mentioned only for Dias Restaurant, I understood from reception that it applies to all the restaurants for dinner (Thalassa and Vegghera also).
Friendly accommodating staff food out of this world room very comfortable great entertainment and day time activities. Good location to beach with a secluded cove
Quite strict around drinks at dinner if not all inclusive. Ie couldn’t bring your own water and a small bottle very over priced at 2.20 for 1 person
Food selection was wide. Pool area was nice. Great water yoga.
The stuff was very unprofessional and almost rude (reception, bartenders and even entertainment people). When our apartment was flushed with water (because of the poor plumbing) and all our stuff, clothes, also my phone were buried under the water, we were suggested to wait outside while they clean the floor like nothing happened. We paid almost 200eur per night, and I came home with broken phone and no "I'm sorry" from them :) Last days of our vacation was ruined.
Food was nice. Good buffet. It is good value for money. The facilities are nice and if you like big resorts with amenities then this is the place to be.
The cleanliness of the room could be improved. The mattress in the room was terrible, very hard and caused back pain. The pillows are bad as well and you have to pay for better pillows to be provided. The staff are friendly but upon checking in we were not told that the special Cretan restaurant is only open 3 days/week and that our 15 minute free massages can only be used in the initial 2 days of our stay so we missed out on both of those events. We were not given “towel cards” either. We tried to report these issues and were asked back to the front desk twice only to be told the manager was not there.
The food at the hotel was excellent. We were staying half board
Hotel is away from any town. Also have pay if you want a sun bed near the sea
