It was clean and comfortable although public areas were a bit tired and really could do with an update. Overall we were happy as the location was great, we were visiting family in Penarth and it was close to the town and also a short walk to the sea and promenade It was very quiet being a Sunday night but we were greeted warmly by the bar person who was really friendly and chatted to us. Breakfast was very good, one of the best we’ve had for awhile so overall our stay was good
The shower was over the bath but no shelf above it which meant resting toiletries on the edge of the bath where they kept slipping into the bath and got very wet, a small thing but was a bit annoying when hair wet trying to grope around for the soap and shampoo, especially as the lighting in there was a bit dim too
Delicious freshly cooked full English breakfast. The hotel is of an older style so if you want shiny modern duplicate rooms this may not be for you but suited me just perfectly. Friendly, helpful staff. Very quiet. Busy Italian restaurant on site.
Had to go to find information about wi fi password as no instructions in room but a minor detail.
Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly.
I would've liked some toiletries.
This place is simple great in every aspect friendly fun clean great food you coundnt ask for anything eles will be back
Victorian building so old- no lift. Beds very comfortable and good English breakfast. Rooms at the front face the station and refuse vehicles came at 5.30am. Nice park behind hotel and 5 minute walk to the seafront and pier.
Dripping tap in bedroom basin. Restaurant not open on Monday.
