The bed was really comfy. The receptionist was very helpful.
I've spend two nights at the Witch's Hat. We arrived late and check in was no problem. Breakfast is included and okay (Toast, some cereal, instant coffee etc.)
In general I can recommend the hostel, but you shouldnt be too picky about bathroom cleaniness. ( depending on the other guest as bathrooms are being shared) The witch's Hat is located in a residential area. Therefore after 10 PM noise is not really wanted.
The bed was comfortable, room size was nice too. Really nice to have a reasonably priced vending machine in the courtyard and loved the fact the hostel wasn’t too big as felt like staff were more friendly/ recognised you - personal touch :)
Although the hostel has several rules to ensure everybody has a comfortable stay, we found that throughout the duration of our time there there were so many people also staying who had 0 respect for the place - night time was particularly uncomfortable as some other people staying on more than one occasion were either loud, ‘stupid’ drunk and/or aggressive which was a little intimidating at times. It was nice the hostel is smaller but at the same time, the risk of hearing slamming doors throughout your stay is heavily increased. It was nice the hostel stressed their rules after a few nights of ‘heavy party behaviour’ despite the noise curfew of 10pm but we found the door slamming and group chatting in hallways at midnight continued which was a shame.
This lovely hotel is in Perth CBD. Customers will enjoy a peaceful and calm stay on the premises, as it counts with a total of 15rooms. Pets are not permitted on the premises.
