C$ 629+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Villa Maïa, you'll be centrally located in Lyon, steps from Gallo-Roman Museum (Musee de la Civilization Gallo-Romaine) and 5 minutes by foot from Roman Theatres of Fourviere. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free valet parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The hotel did not even let us stay half an hour more than the regular check out time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Villa Maii was exceptional.Dedicated team of people who take pride in their hotel and delivering a high standard of service. The hotel is beautifully designed with attention to detail and very spacious rooms. We especially loved the pool and fitness area, overlooking the garden.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff is excellent and kind. The garden view is great. The room is beautiful. Breakfast is nice. Everything is really great except for the location.
Cons: The location is remote, which has its advantages as it allows for a quite and serene setting. However, be prepared for nothing less than a hike from anywhere in the city. We are talking about 20 or 30 mins of extreme uphill climbing. This means that you pretty much need to take an Uber to get anywhere, which is a bit of a bummer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was perfect! The pool was fantastic and warm and clean. The room was with nice view, perfect bathtub plus great shower and toilet. The crew were amazing and kind and helpful... I would like to go again only for the hotel...!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully furnished throughout
Cons: The adjacent restaurant
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and superb service.
Cons: Leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff Very helpful
Cons: Shuttle service to old town would be helpful to to visitors it's. 5 min ride
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is nothing short of excellent! The concierge handled all my requests professionally and promptly. The staff’s general demeanor is smiling and very friendly (a rarity in France). The nearby restaurant (Tetedoie) is arguably one of Lyon’s best. The mini bar snacks are included in the room’s rate. The movie selection is stupendous.
Cons: The location is scenic, but foot access the hotel requires an uphill hike. Room service and the breakfast menus are rather limited. The frequency of housekeeping visits is freaky (I had to resort to the do not disturb sign as a default).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious, modern, new
Cons: A bit pricy but high standards
Hôtel Carlton Lyon - Mgallery - Lyon - Building
2
9.0 Excellent (1,816 reviews)
C$ 262+
Overview Reviews
Located on the peninsula, be seduced by the Hotel Carlton Lyon. It has kept its authenticity and personality by combining contemporary comfort with refinement. Relax in one of the 80 well-decorated rooms, in our brand-new Spa Codage or in the cozy bar. A 5-minute walk from the Metro Bellecour, the hotel is the ideal starting point to discover Lyon: its Opera, its museums, its Cathedral St Jean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel (hotel manager) was extremely accommodating to our needs which is a huge plus when traveling. Room was beautifully decorated and overlooked the main square below with a great view of the area. Area was extremely convenient and easy for walking to restaurants and shops and to the Saone river where we took a boat cruise. Classic style hotel with modern touches was lovely! Has valet parking which was another reason we selected this hotel as we drove from Paris on route to Provence. Enjoyed our stay there, tho too short as only there two nights.
Cons: Set up in the room was a bit awkward as the WC and rest of the bathroom were on two different sides of the room. Also, bathroom needed more place to put toiletries and the room needed a chest of drawers for our clothes. However, management added what we requested and was very accommodating. Note that not all rooms were set up that way, just our room type. Hotel could use a dedicated concierge especially as it's a high end hotel and this would be helpful in planning activities. We had our tablet with us and used it alot since the hotel had good free wifi!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed extremely comfortable
Cons: Breakfast was chaotic and bit slow refilling Had to ask for eggs and bread for toast . Could not find the milk had to ask someone. Other than that food was lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent Location and hotel were perfect. Loved our room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't get to stay in the room much, because we were there to see Lyon, but it was just fantastic. Actually now that I think of it, it was the nicest part of the trip. Very helpful friendly staff, very clean and elegant hotel, great bathroom, very comfortable. We chose the breakfast option which was very good buffet with good options for all. I greatly recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb small hotel. Unbeatable location. Charming, willing staff.
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and helpful staff.
Cons: 26€ for a croissant and tea for breakfast is insane.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room could have done with a bit more storage space.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good value.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel was perfect especially the location and staff! The bed and pillows deserve a special mention too as they are the best I have experienced on all of my travels.
Cons: Prices in the bar were very expensive. Walk a short distance to the nearest bar or restaurant instead :)
6.0 Good
Pros: Charming and good location
Cons: The rooms are small (we requested a deluxe room)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms, very comfortable and quiet, easy access and friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location — easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and old Lyon. Very attentive staff who made great recos for restaurants. Very comfortable bed and great bathroom. The breakfast, although extra, was great with an nice assortment of breads, cheeses and sweets. They will even make pancakes or crepes if asked. Two thumbs way up!
Cons: Closet and storage space is very limited. Had to live mostly out of our suitcases.
Villa Florentine - Lyon - Building
3
9.0 Excellent (922 reviews)
C$ 537+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Villa Florentine in Lyon (Lyon City Centre), you'll be a 5-minute walk from Lyon Cathedral and 6 minutes by foot from Gallo-Roman Museum (Musee de la Civilization Gallo-Romaine). Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, well run hotel in a great location with stunning views over Lyon. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant on one night and on another night at a small, well known restaurant booked for us by the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful. We had a room on 2 floors with bedroom upstairs and sitting room and bathroom with separate wc downstairs. We were very happy with it, it had a Juliet balcony with beautiful views. This hotel has a lovely welcoming atmosphere.
Cons: It didn't matter much for us but walking back from the town the hotel is up a long flight of steps, however they do lead down into the heart of the old town which is very convenient. Driving isn't a problem though (apart from the one way system and roadworks when we were travelling) and there is parking outside the hotel and valet parking also.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, service, view, room, dining, etc. are all impeccable. One of the best hotel I been to.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Extremely professional and friendly staff throughout the hotel. Lovely hotel and the pool area was very nice as was breakfast on the terrace. Large bathroom
Cons: The price of the breakfast buffet was a bit steep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What we liked was everything! This is a beautiful (ex convent) hotel in a position overlooking Old Lyon, but also with views over the greater city, within a short distance (via a choice of two flights of approximately 200 steps each if you're on foot) of the centre of the old town.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike or criticise.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing...especially Perrine and Morgan!
Cons: The bed pillows were oversized and hard. I would like the option of a goose down pillow. Also, a hand rail in the shower would be nice since the surface was slippery.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with wonderful courteous staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were sublime. Staff were generally excellent and very happy to help.
Cons: Villa Florentine booked us a private limousine with chauffeur to greet us at the airport.........ONLY THEY DIDN'T CONFIRM IT THE DAY BEFORE AND SO NOBODY TURNED UP..........Being abandoned at the airport NOT A GOOD START. Very sloppy for a 5 star Relais et Chateaux establishment. A lot of distress for an elderly couple. As it was our Golden Wedding Anniversary, I had booked a table on Les Terrasses only to be refused admittance as they didn't have a note of my reservation and thus we were embarrassed and humiliated in front of the dining room. Eventually 30 minutes later after I was able to present a printed copy of my reservation, they found us a table !!......meantime my wife had changed to go somewhere else and effectively the whole sense of the occasion had been ruined.........Golden Wedding Anniversary (50 years). For what is supposed to be one of the finest dining rooms with the best Michelin starred 'gourmet food' around, even the food was less than average with very little taste. And yes we've eaten in many top establishments and so we know what to expect............and that wasn't it !! The food was very underwhelming, and I don't say that because of what went on before..........it really was NOT there on the taste department. On the domestic side, the towel rail in the en suite was thick with dust........every single rail......not to be expected in a 5 star establishment. The front of house staff did their very best to make up for these transgressions and voluntarily amended my bill. Unfortunately something you have been planning and organising for months can't be suddenly put right, even if they were cancelling the whole bill.........which they certainly didn't. It should have been a fairy tale stay with a fairy tale evening enjoying fine food and wines in a wonderful atmosphere and ambience......AND IT WAS NOT. RUINED WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A THANKYOU TO MY WIFE FOR 50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE.
6.8 Good
Pros: isolated location but with good views from some rooms.
Cons: A number of rooms and suites are located in a building about 50 meters from the main building. lower down the hill with no views . From this building to the restaurant and swimming poll , guests have to navigate three elevators and walk about 100 meters, which is very inconvenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I were very impressed by the extremely friendly and helpful welcome we received on arrival. Our room was beautiful with a lovely view over Lyon. The hotel itself is very stylish and in a great position, high above the old quarter.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. WOnderful restaurant.Helpful staff.
Cons: No criticism of the property itself but visitors should be aware that it is located on a steep hillside. We were there during a heatwave so taxis were a necessity when returning from the town.
Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette - Lyon - Building

8.9 Excellent (3,186 reviews)
C$ 208+
Overview Reviews
A stay at OKKO Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette places you in the heart of Lyon, within a 15-minute walk of Lyon Opera and Lyon City Hall. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk.
4.5 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: pillows, shower pressure and temperature (kept changing), no wardrobe (sorry there was one but in the middle of the room, 3 or 4 hangers), spoiled orange juice at breakfast, embarrassingly small gym, rough mattress, no parking space
7.7 Good
Pros: The staff were all young and obliging very nice experience
Cons: The rooms were not very comfortable with only only place to relax really bring the bed but I guess that's what you call funky!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was a quite decent size for two. We also got a large space for bathroom. The best deal for staying at OKKO was drinks, snacks and small meal plates are free at lounge area. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and after exhausted by walking under the hot summer heat ever day we were able to enjoy cool free drinks and small meal plates. The staffs were also very friendly and helping us throughout our stay.
Cons: Not really
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the Rhône but not that close .. free snacks late afternoon... and late departure every day is great !!
Cons: Wrong parking map ... dirty toilets ... try harder !!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast excellent location v good for town's main attractions (walking distance); William most helpful.
Cons: horrendous bathroom (room 401), designed by a madman!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was really impressed with this hotel. I booked bc I was flying into Lyon a day early and wanted a nice hotel in a good location with air conditioning since Lyon was experiencing a heatwave. The room was perfect. I hadn't been sleeping well and the room had this quiet zone of pure silence and tranquil darkness-- I got a great night of sleep! The " club" area was way better than I expected. I assumed it would be mainly millennials hanging out and the free appetizers and drinks would be unhealthy snacks --- so wrong ! The people checking in were also great. I came right before a planned fire drill and the receptionist took extra steps to process me fast so I could drop off my luggage before fire drill occurred. Nice also to see them practicing safety steps...you never know. Breakfast next morning was a delight. All ages here. I'm in my fifties and didn't feel out of place at all. I really liked this hotel and would recommend to my closest friends and seek out another one in my future travels! I had pretty much become an Airbnber ( became tired of staid hotel feel)...but I will choose Okko when available!
Cons: Can't think of anything.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Our room had an intense mold smelling when we got in, as it was late at night we decided not to complain at the moment. But after showering we verified that the water from the bathroom was leaking to the room and the carpet was soaking wet! Then we noticed that the carpet was full of stains, probably due to this recurring problem and the mold that came with it. It was just awful and such room should not be available to receive guests, it ruined Lyon for us. Breakfast also extremely disappointing. You will probably find much better options in Lyon than this place, don't take your chance here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff Great room All is included Gym room Very quiet Access to the lounge 24/7
Cons: Breakfast is very simple
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is good, but not excellent. Location is amazing, near the river, with a great landscape.
Cons: nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff and complimentary drinks and food The lounge area is great
Cons: The bathroom looked a little tired
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the decor, the location, the price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face!
Cons: The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.

Pros: Lovely spa with a range of jacuzzi/ steam. Beautiful building and set in the quiet old town up on the hill- lovely walk down into the city centre.

Pros: The pool and spa. The breakfast. The staff in the spa area and the "apartment" area.
Cons: The staff in the main reception were incredible unprofessional, rude and impolite. When we got there, the receptionist didn't welcome us at all and couldn't find our booking. She was almost questioning if we had an reservation at all, which we of course had. A very unpleasant experience, when you have been travelling for a long time and just want to relax on a 4 star hotel! This poor service continued, when we agreed to extend the check-out from our room for another hour - here, we ended up being locked out of the room due to the lack of IT-skills in the reception to perform this task. The final invoice was also faulty, where they tried to charge me a way higher price than booked on booking.com The room was also fairly old and didn't meet the standards of a 4 star hotel. The bathroom was old-fashioned and provided with an inferior shower. The view was straight into a concrete wall and right outside a tennis field, where people could look directly in. Having this hotel as the "final" stop before flying home ended being a true nightmare. In addition to the above mentioned, we politely asked if it was okay to use the pool-area for 1,5 hour after our check-out due to a flight delay. This wasn't possible without paying an additional 25€ EACH = 50€ in addition to the already expensive price of 174€ for a one night stay. An option, we of course didn't choose! What a lousy service. All in all - not worth the money at all. Yes, the pool and spa is great. However, it works as a separate unit and is not a direct part of the hotel. Therefore, don't stay here unless you want to have a bad experience.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Not much, maybe that it was a little different then the rest of the hotels. But maybe “too different”, like in the way they were mocking their customers to pretend they are hipsters oriented.
Cons: Location was bad - meaning that it’s basically near a big industrial crane, actually everything around is an industrial area, just starting to develop I guess. The staff was mediocre at best. At breakfest, they told us to move from a 4 person table, to a 2 person table cause “we are expecting 15 more people”... I especially kept this in mind for the whole 5 minutes I was there, and nobody occupied the tables. On the second day, lots of 2 people groups stayed at big tables, and 3 person at 6 seats table... so basically they just profiled us that we are not French or something, I really don t know why, but they discriminated us (I felt like that). The rooms have no TV (I don’t care that much, but just saying), also there is no fridge! This is insane, no fridge when outside is burning... Lyon in summer time. There is no bathroom door. Only the toilet has some kind of glass door and you see through it pretty well... also this glass door has empty areas beneath and above it. Basically while one person is sleeping and the other one is taking a dump... let s just say that you hear EVERYTHING and smell EVERYTHING. It s the most insane hotel room I ever saw, and insane in a bad way. The toilet is behind the sleeping bed. The power sockets are above the bed... so if you charge your phone, you better watch out not to fall on your head while you re sleeping. Another disturbing thing was the music!!! Very loud music from morning till the next morning... and we were at the 4th floor, imagine 1st floor. While staying at night in bed, we had a bright light from the EURONEWS illuminated logo right accross our window. Not very pleasant also.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great, interior was very hip, eco-friendly. Parking no problem. Lots of other restaurants around, but hotel restaurant looked great too. Even with the rain Lyon looked stunning on the river.
Cons: liked it all. beautiful surrounding. For kids and adults. happy place.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fun style, nice functional room, absolutely perfect location next to the railway station.
Cons: Person at the reception at check-in was new and seemed quite confused. Breakfast room was too small, and probably due to this, my half-eaten food was cleaned away as I was getting more coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A hotel different from others. As if you are entering a theater, museum of film scene. Quirky, pleasant atmosphere. Nice rooms, original public areas, rich breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Interesting concept
Cons: Tiny room, close to the railroad tracks, no TV, no fridge, bathroom integrated in the room, shower dripping.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, modern and comfortable facilities. Very comfortable bed. The hotel is close to the water which is nice for a walk. Free coffee, water and sparkling water in the entrance.
Cons: Not enough staff to handle the guest requests. The hotel has a lot of modern initiatives that unfortunately are not perfectly implemented. No TV in room - you can borrow iPad's (but you need to borrow them which takes time, they are only in French and the wifi is not always working properly). Free coffee & water in the entrance (but staff is not really checking for coffee, the machine or cups. Good luck). Restaurant is too busy and crowded.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel’s design is fun and with many original details: free water and coffee at the entrance, petanque, games, etc. The room is beautiful.
Cons: The room was quite small and even though has apparently a Great design, is not practical at all. No Real space to leave your luggage and transit eaisily around and even though you get many Towels, there is no space to hang Them. A design based on the looks but not practical. The area is far from the City center and with few transpiration options.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very creative hotel with a lot of good ideas and thought-through priority setting (design, silent rooms, comfortable beds, decent breakfast, balcony with nice view, super fast internet)
Cons: Parking required some searching on some days
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Don’t have coffee at the cafe near the hotel, truly dreadful croissant. In France!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: - great staff - nice and clean rooms with a nice view - great location - quite far from the old town, but very close to the tram to the airport, to the central train station and to the underground
Cons: - the breakfast had very limited choice (no hot meal like scrambled eggs or sausages, nothing), which is something we are not used to in Ibis hotels (we booked Ibis mainly because of great breakfasts)
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, cleanliness of the room, the color. The bed was comfortable
Cons: The sockets were in awkward positions so it was awkward to charge my phone and laptop
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was a very nice surprise. We needed a night in Lyon in order to catch a very early flight, so we wanted something that would connect us easily to the airport. The hotel is literally next to the Rhonexpress station and also to the central train station. It is also very close to a mall, maybe a 5-min walk and around 30-40min walk to the city centre. . Being so close to the central train station and in an area not that popular, we had no expectations in terms of comfort, however this hotel exceeded our expectations not only in terms of comfort, but also ambient, cleanliness, staff ammability, small attentions like a complimentary bottle of water and sweets in the room, free tea, coffee and water in the lobby, free use of PC and print, good breakfast options like freshly squeezed fruit juice, delicious selection of jams, fresh fruits, good quality yoghurts, decent coffe and pastries etc.

Overview Reviews
The 4-star Silky Hotel is part of the HappyCulture Collection. HappyCulture is about forty addresses in France and as many experiences to discover. Young but cultivating the sense of values, the brand declines here as elsewhere its signature: to please, to multiply the small attentions which make the great happiness. The 46 rooms with their different colours reveal pretty mouldings and cornices, in a cosy and contemporary bourgeois house spirit. Beautiful ceiling height, Italian shower, retro and graphic decoration...

Pros: Excellent location. Amazing breakfast. Spacious rooms. Free water bottles daily. Clean. Comfy beds. Very quiet despite being right in the center.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was near great restaurants, shopping and museums. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. The staff were very helpful and the accommodations were tastefully decorated and clean. Also the breakfast was superb. I will definitely return to hotel Silky in the future.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The central location of the hotel is perfect for a weekend stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the free bottles of water that were constantly available and the little free gift of delicious organic jam! I would stay here again for sure.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the tiny breakfast room. It was crowded and difficult to move around. Luckily we were able to carry out breakfast upstairs to sit on the terrasse outside. I imagine it was this crowded because it was peak holiday time in August, it's probably better at other times in the year.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: a central position with a commanding view from the 5th floor room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location couldn’t be more perfect. The rooms are stylish, quiet. The curtains really blackout the light.
Cons: The breakfast wasn’t amazing. Not bad but very basic. I know some people will enjoy the free little water bottles but I find it so not eco friendly.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location in central Lyon on a small square with cafes. Funky designed room with big bathroom and comfortable beds. Effective air conditioning in the middle of a heatwave.
Cons: Looking out on an indoor courtyard but you can’t have everything.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff
Cons: No car park
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff are very nice, they live the “happy culture” tag, and are very helpful. Also, the location is great and the room was clean. The room was a reasonable size. because of the staff we would like to have given a higher score.
Cons: However, the room can best be described as spartan. The description said there is a “seating area”: there was no seating area in the room and there was only one seat and a small stool. There should be 2 seats in a 2 person room. There is not enough surface space to put things on. Finally, the bathroom is a shower-in-the-bath arrangement, which we don’t like. A simple shower is much better.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff & free water
Cons: Really small room. Location is hard to find and near some bars.
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff Agnes and Maxim. Very good bathroom and well located in Lyon
4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and wifi worked great. It's in a great location.
Cons: Elevator was broken and room was not as pictured. More run down than I expected.

7.0 Good
Pros: It was nice to have the option stay in the female dorm and that we have curtains in front of our beds. The common room and the kitchen where nice and comfortable. We were happy that we could cook our own food. The staff was helpfull, even most of them didn’t speak good English.
Cons: The toillets did smell dirty most of the time and the hostel is far away from Gare de Lyon Part Dieu.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the shower room is convenient, large lobby and kitchen, staff was helpful
Cons: Staff turned off the AC during the night while Lyon was in a heat wave, rooms were extremely hot. Other guests had their stuff all over the place in the room, which made the rooms really messy. Also, without counting the dry toilet there’s only one toilet for females in the entire hostel, which was fine for us at the time since the hostel consisted of mostly males.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Some mistakes happened But They solved well. Thanks!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant hostel with a nice social space. English speaking staff. Breakfast is decently priced, however you cannot count on it to hit the spot/fill you up for a day's exploring.
Cons: While there was air-conditioning in the rooms, it wasn't fantastic AC, and I woke up in the night quite hot a few times. No keys/key cards for the doors into rooms, which felt a little unusual
7.5 Good
Pros: Employees were amazing and helpful. Great food and drinks served. Location was fairly good. A bit far from the city, but had plenty of food and smaller stores around. Was right beside the river also which makes for a nice walk
Cons: Very warm, not much air flow. AC was ok. No fan in rooms.

Cons: Bathroom for shower has no ventilation

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Access to this hotel by car is a nightmare. No parking, no garage. The chap said they would park my car but could not tell me where. We chose not to stay. The chap apologised but they have still charged £351. Avoid this if you drive anything bigger than a smart car!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cour des Loges is located in the middle of Old Lyon, and is surrounded by many restaurants and shops, with easy access to many of the city sights. The hotel restaurant is a Michelin one star but unfortunately for us, it seems all highly rated restaurants in Lyon are closed on Sunday (and perhaps Monday as well). Very competent and courteous staff. The establishment is in an ancient building, with lots of old world atmosphere. Along with that it also has a spa with a sauna, a steam room, a pool and a hot tub! Our room opened onto a very private balcony garden (accessible from other rooms as well).
Cons: Breakfast was on the expensive side, the reason for us not eating there in the morning. Parking is a ten minute walk away and it's very expensive, but that's not the fault of the hotel, that's Lyon...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is located in Old Lyon and it does not disappoint on charm and character! Our room as unique and comfortable. We visited the spa after arrival and enjoyed the sauna and pool for the afternoon. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Wish we could have stayed an additional night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The building is amazing. Renaissance. The rooftop garden is really cosy, don't miss the stairs to the right past the bees (They make their own honey). The bar is great, it has a good ambiance that goes around very well with the rest of the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It felt real, not artificial. The car parking service was really great. After a long journey, the front window was covered by insects. They cleaned it. The best thing still is the center part of the hotel, which is an indoor court covered by a window roof. Pictures can't do it justice. Did I enjoy our stay there? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes. Will I return? Ohh, yes...
Cons: No problem for us, but people should know, that depending on the room, you have an open bathroom. It is only separated from the sleeping area by a curtain.
7.5 Good
Pros: location is exerrent.
Cons: Ventiration should be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location / history / staff / feels like you are back in time but with modern conveniences!
Cons: Room was hot. No AC. Staff brought fan but still was warm in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Really difficult to access if you have a car
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quality of the renovation was tasteful and well done. There were plenty of facilities (gym, spa, bar & restaurant) which were excellently appointed. The bedroom was of a good size and very tastefully decorated.
Cons: Very little to dislike. Unfortunately there was an outside party happening near the hotel late into one of the nights but there is little the hotel could do about that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was Exceptional Unreal Restaurant Romantic Great bar and Lounge English a non-issue (if you don't speak French) Very Comfortable
Cons: Room was a bit small and shower/tub was quirky but to be expected being used to American Hotels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is elegant, beautiful and classy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the decor in the property

6.8 Good
Pros: Staff at reception were rude and not interested in the fact that they put us in a room without a view of the old town when I specifically asked if the room had been upgraded to an old town view, as confirmed in a message from Radisson. The reception staff the room was upgraded. It was clear after we had unpacked it hadn’t been and when I complained the receptionist said she didn’t have a record of the upgrade and we had to repack, go to reception and show her their text message. We then were allocated the room we had originally booked without an apology. The staff need proper management in customer care. If I treated my clients in this way I soon wouldn’t have a business. Sort it Radisson!!
Cons: See above
7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice rooms with a fantastic view of the city. Good breakfast.
Cons: A bit far from the centre.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room was superb, the room had a kettle and a coffee machine which is rare in hotels in this part of the world. The open ceiling lobby was impressive.
Cons: the fact that they did not allow my 3 years kid with us, so I had to pay extra for a larger room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, bright room.
Cons: Aircon cannot be adjusted.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself is cosy and rooms well equipped and clean. Good breakfast
Cons: Absence of parking free of charge
7.0 Good
Pros: The room, view and location.
Cons: The overall service is not what is expected from a big brand as Radisson. Starting from the obligation to leave a deposit for god knows which reason, the extremely busy reception which should be more staffed and other aspects. Let alone the housekeeping cleaning the room by 15h. The overall service and experience is a bit disappointing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property can be seen from almost the whole city however finding it by car is a challenge with the current construction work in the area The hotel has good facilities and comfortable communal areas .
Cons: This hotel is best located for business rather than tourism as the tourist district is a 25 minute walk away. The hotel however was good and offered what you would expect from a Radisson Blu
8.8 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was great,
Cons: the room was hot but we were in he midst of a heat wave and the AC was not performing well.
5.8 Okay
Pros: the location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was amazing. We had to catch an international flight earlier in the evening so left our bags at the hotel while we walked around Lyon. On return to get our bags, we asked if we could have/pay for a quick shower before our flight as the heatwave was on and they kindly let us use the gym showers with a fresh towel and soap for free!. As we were leaving the hotel we were handed a bottle of complimentary water. We were blown away with the service, and our room had an amazing view! We will definitely stay there again on our return.
Cons: There was nothing negative. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Pros: Location
Cons: Cost
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the Hotel de Ville as well as restaurants and the historic district, comfortable room with good amenities, generous breakfast buffet, very pleasant front desk staff. This place was a very good find.
Cons: Easy to trip on a small step when getting out of the elevator and another small step when entering the guest room, but the front desk staff warned us about this in advance, so we were prepared.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and comfortable room. Air conditioning which was welcome during a very hot week
Cons: The lift to our floor was immediately outside our bedroom door which was noisy at times and difficult to get in and out. There were two small steps from the lift which were quite a trip hazard.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent location. Big rooms
Cons: The hotel looks out dated. Everywhere there are unexpected and not logical stairs that got my suitcase broken. Stiff bed and noisy air-condition
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location perfectly in the center
Cons: Carpet in the floor, room smelt like a closed place
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room comfortable size for two; clean; comfortable bed; air conditioning worked well and was necessary in July. Room windows faced interior courtyard, so no street noise; no noise from other guests either. Robe and slippers provided to get one back and forth to the pool. Location was good for pubic transport connections and for proximity to some museums, many restaurants, cafes and bars. Lots of nice bakeries and coffee places in the neighborhood. Well stocked grocery (Marché Presqu' Île) and drink store across the street, open late (til 9 most nights). Carrefour Express nearby open early. We did not take the breakfast, nor use the Wi-Fi.
Cons: In room safe only for small items; iPad mini probably would not fit. Air conditioning in room worked great and was necessary, but had what we assumed was a pump to remove water; it sounded like a Nespresso machine and went off every 5 to 10 minutes. Annoying in the early hours. No in room coffee or tea making set. We did not take the breakfast, but only found out on our departure that there was coffee/tea available in the bar area. The pool arangement is very odd. It feels as if the pool is in the breakfast area. From the breakfast room you walk up 4 steps and you are at the edge of the pool. Explains the strong chlorine smell in the lobby and breakfast room. Low ceilings and narrow edges make it a challenge for mobility impaired persons.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: The room was full of Woden furniture. No tea or coffee in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, very clean, good breakfast and very original “Bains de detente” (small pool on the ground floor), ideal after a hot day of visit
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The location was very convenient, close to a railway station, which is how we got to and from the Hotel. After we had gone out for a long afternoon and evening walk, we came back to the Hotel and had an evening Beer, with a snack, which was a nice idea. The lift was definitely required. The breakfast was sufficient.
Cons: Needs a bigger lounge/kitchen area.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent with a big variety of items to choose from. The room was very comfortable. We were able to get everywhere from the hotel on the scooters. The shower had good hot water and nice water pressure.
Cons: The photos made it look a bit nicer than it actually was. I expected it to be a bit more high end. The location was a bit away from the main area.
