Overview

In the historic heart of Poitiers, the Best Western Plus Poitiers Centre Le Grand Hotel, Poitiers, France, sits in a quiet interior courtyard along a street of restaurants, a building of character with a warm 24-hour welcome, a bar, and room service, and conference rooms for up to 80 people. The comfortable, bright rooms and individually decorated suites come with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a minibar, and a regional breakfast of local jams, yogurts, and butter cookies is served in the room, the dining room, or on the summer terrace. An enclosed garage adds easy parking in the centre. Poitiers is famous for its Romanesque churches, among them the richly carved facade of Notre-Dame-la-Grande and the ancient Baptistery of Saint-Jean, earning it the name of the city of a hundred bell towers, with the futuristic Futuroscope park and the abbey of Saint-Savin within easy reach. The old stones of its churches reward an unhurried wander through the centre.
