Hotel had a great view of the bay. Very clean. Breakfast was amazing with a very large selection to cater everyone. Staff incredibly pleasant. The only down side was the pool area did not have enough sun beds and people were putting towels out early then going for breakfast. We ended up paying €19 each day to higher sun beds on the beach
The staff are super friendly and helpful, and nothing seems to be too much trouble from the moment you check in. The hotel has a lovely 'communal/bar' area with great views from the bar terrace, and the breakfast spread was superb (I was only B&B so cannot comment on the majority of the evening meals, but on the one occasion we ate there it was 10/10). The rooms are very clean, modern with super comfy beds. Everyone has a smile for you 24-hours a day and the hotel itself is only a couple of minutes stroll to the start of the mile long bay promenade.
We were sold rooms, through booking.com, that had terrace and sea view. Whilst one of the rooms did, it was from the corner of the balcony and the view from the doors out was to the rear of the hotel (rocks and garden). The second room had no sea view at all, just a terrace. I don't know if this was booking.com miss-selling or a mix up at the hotel. The hotel tried to sort this but only had one room left to move us to and was only for a couple of days so we opted to stay where we were. The second 'small' issue is the hotel pool area. It's a lovely space and decent sized 'dipping pool', but... it has only 30ish sunbeds. When you consider there are circa 70 rooms in the hotel, it doesn't take a genius to work out there are nowhere near enough sunbeds, and not helped by guests reserving loungers at 9am and not turning up till 11am, and leaving for 2 hour lunches and not removing their towels etc. It's a small comment but it does mean if you want to chill out up there, by the pool' all day, you need to plan how you're going to do this, our just chance your luck of not having anything to sit on, other than the patio floor, by the pool when you a) get up late, or b) come back after lunch... More loungers, and more paraosols needed please!!! I loved the hotel but I would have to seriously think about returning if this situation wasn't sorted...
*Very nice views from the hotel restaurant (where also the breakfast area was) - hills of Port de Soller are really pretty *Pretty pool area - the top most level of the hotel from where one could enjoy nice views *Friendly staff (sometimes though 'too friendly') *Very nice breakfast (though mostly heaven for meat eaters with all those sausages and hams available;) *The hotel was located probably in the nicest Port de Soller part, nice restaurants around, close to the lighthouse
*no parking available. It would take time roaming around the nearby streets to find one, as Port de Soller is always very busy *Rooms (small things but still): - no kettle for tea/coffee - no conditioner (bummer for a 4star hotel). There was soap, shampoo and shower gel, which in one week was not even replenished even though e.g. we were out of soap already (of course we can call and get it arranged) - Some walls of our room were really scratched - in a small balcony attached to the room there was always some air conditioner or some big machine sound coming (burring) *Sundays they have Jazz evening with dinner. The menu was mainly fish though my husband does not eat fish (he east everything else). They said they would specially prepare non-fish options, which were basically veg snacks which were not good at all * mostly the sunbeds at fhe swimming pool area would not be enough for all people who would like to relax, so we would wait for some time till some sunbeds would get free *Breakfast - no lactose free options (like plant based milk or joghurt), no fresh vegetables like cucumber, tomato, lettuce etc
Staff, rooms and breakfasts were excellent.
Not quite enough sunbeds and sunshades around the lovely pool.
Breakfast, pool, restaurant, staff. honesty bar at pool
Lack of sunbeds and space around the pool, our initial bedrooms was too small and the balcony was too small
