Nice friendly place with excellent staff and location
Staff,location, food, cleanliness all great
It did not have an elevator which was alright but I have a bad leg.. made a little tough but everything else was fine.
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at compared to many throughout the world. Will be staying long term when I decide to write my book. Room, location and of course the staff were outstanding. wE REALLY WERE GUESTS AND ARE NOT BEING PAID FOR THIS REVIEW. Also, this is the first review we have ever done. COMPUTERS ####%^^#@@#$%!!!
HAVING TO CHECK OUT
One issue I had was when I was given my credit card receipt it was not itemised, so I had no idea if the valet charge was included. I therefore paid the valet guy separate for the valet parking. Then, when I later went over the credit card bill it appears that I had been charged for the valet on the credit card bill. An itemised receipt would have made me aware of this. Other than that I have no complaints, but I think this is something that is easily rectified.
C'est magnifique
Extremely helpful staff, I twice stayed here in one week, fourth floor of the hotel hard by the church square. The rooms are spacious and darkly handsome with just the night accents of decor. Love the rich wood floors and doors, roomy bathrooms and just everything.
I travel a lot and honestly cannot demerit the hotel for anything. From directions to restaurant recommendations to central location in old Montreal to handout umbrellas on a rainy Wednesday, Place d'Armes came through.
Solid, Small Hotel
Very helpful staff. Great location. Clean. Quiet. Great breakfast which is included in the price. Overall excellent value at $160 per night.
Very hard to find the hotel. Room was very small with a shower made entirely of glass in the bedroom itself. Room was very small.
The staff are exceptional and very personable. The owner can be very proud. We recommend the restaurant for superb cuisine and presentation.
Everything was quite good. We will recommend the hotel to others and return.
Excellent staff! Very nice, cozy room. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Nice old building with lots of character. Wireless internet was very helpful. Very nice setting on a 'pedestrian only' street. Great location. Parking was close by. Pleasant restaurant (with nice staff) downstairs. I wish I had stayed here (and in Old Quebec) for more than two nights!
I loved the location just next to the Frontenac and Artist's Lane.
There was no elevator and the noise from outside could be loud at times.
Beautiful decor, great location and a romantic atmosphere.
Wifi needs to be available in room. Also, glasses are needed for water.
We appreciated the help we received from all the staff. They even helped us take decisions on what to do during the day. This is very peculiar.
There is a strong food smell on the stairs, that reaches the entrance of the room. This is only down side of the hotel.
The central location did not require getting a taxi or walking too far. The bed was comfortable.
Too many stairs
A great little hotel in a great location.
no elevator
We found this to be a charming small hotel in the heart of Old Quebec - you couldn't ask for a better location right next to the Chateau Frontenac. The staff were very friendly and accommodating
room very clean, very comfortable good location
we are seniors did not know second ffloor location with no elevator should be stated as such
