The room was old fashioned and there was a distinct feeling of an old hotel. The breakfast was ok but nothing special about it. The hotel is definitely acceptable if you get it for a good price.
I would have expected something more from a 4-star hotel but the star ratings are very relative to the country as I am observing. A Four-Star Rating is supposed to mean Upscale Comfort, something I did not feel while at Appia Park. Four-star hotels usually have large rooms, this one did not. Similarly, the room is suppose to be beautifully designed but this one had the charm of an old hotel going for it and that's about it. No sign of any luxurious touches and as for bath products, they had shampoo and a small solid soap, no toothpaste or conditioner.
I honestly did not like anything about the hotel or my stay.
I would not recommend anyone to stay at this property, especially if it is your first time in Rome. It is a distance from tourist attractions and in a very unsightly location. Not holiday location at all. The staff at reception try to be friendly, however the waiters are unfriendly not trained properly for a “4 star” hotel. I still can’t believe it is rated 4 stars, it left me quite confused it deserves a 2 stars at most. The waiters did not greet not once, in all the days that we stayed there. The eggs and bacon were cold all the time, breakfast there was no change to the menu. The room decor was old and tasteless in decor. Unsure when was the last revamp of this establishment. The pillows are awful and so too is the mattress. I did not enjoy my stay at all and do not recommend it. It’s not worth the money or the “4 star” rating.
Everything was perfect, only shower can be a little bit modern (to be with hose, not fixed to the wall).
Very nice place. Quiet and cozy. Wonderful breakfast and overall great place to stay.
Staff were very kind and helpful
The pictures look nothing like the actual place. It is in need of a dramatic overhaul. Very tired and rooms dated and tiny
