The second person I spoke to understood my problem an immediately looked for a solution. He upgraded my room to a superior room with a balcony and a view of the lake. It changed my experience i was ready to check out and get a cabin even if it costed more, but i stayed because if the second person that actually helped.
I was put in a smoking room. Room smelled really bad (cigarette smoke). I was told by the first person spoke to that I had to pay to get an available room thats non-smoking. They offered an ozone type device to clean the air. It took an hr and didn't work.
Bad customer service.
Once I got into my room, I was able to enjoy the beauty and peace of the resort. The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful. The size of the room was incredible.
At check-in the Supervisor did not accept my confirmation from Booking.com. In addition I was informed that Booking.com only comes with "smoking rooms" and if I wanted another room I would have to upgrade for $50.00 per night. It was not a pleasant welcome and a representative from Booking.com had to call on my behalf. When I finally got into my room, the lock to the outdoor terrace was broken and the handles were coming off the drawer doors. Maintenance had to come in and fix that. I requested a refrigerator and that took 6+ Hours to be delivered and when it finally was delivered it sounded like it was ging to fall apart. I had to call for another one and that one finally worked. Front desk personnel need to learn how to be friendlier to guests. That can make or break your guests from ever returning.
I liked the mountain views.
I didn't like the staff waking us up at 9 to see if we were still there. Check out was at 11.
