Top tips for finding the perfect New Delhi hotel

Traveling for business or looking to stay close to the New Delhi International Airport? Consider the Holiday Inn or the Radisson Blu, both upscale yet affordable options situated within minutes of the airport and with plenty of amenities for both business travelers and tourists alike. Pullman New Delhi Aerocity is located adjacent to the airport and offers 13 meeting rooms.
If you’re partial to a hotel experience that is both charming and perhaps a little out of the ordinary, New Delhi has an array of options. Consider a boutique hotel such as The Manor, which offers yoga and meditation classes, or the Shanti Home, both located in the tourist-friendly neighborhood of Janakpuri.
A hotel in the lively neighborhood of Karol Bagh, like the Florence or Crest Inn hotel, offers easy access to some of New Delhi's best shopping destinations. You’ll find everything from jewelry and cosmetics to designer clothing and electronics at nearby Paharganj Market.
For cultural attractions, consider booking a hotel in Lajpat Nagar, like the Karon Hotel. It’s just 15 minutes by car or bus from both the ISKCON Delhi Temple, one of the largest temple complexes in India, and the Lotus Temple, an archaeological wonder designed in the shape of a lotus flower.

Con " First room we were offered on the 9th floor smelt bad, but they quickly moved us and we had great rooms. The noise wasn't an issue outside, you can hear the traffic but it doesn't disturb your sleep "

Pro " I liked the pool, it’s was certainly very grand and had good diversity of things to look at. All the staff are very polite and very helpful. It is a beautiful looking hotel. "
Con " The room cleaning is below average. Also if u pay for a garden view a few pot plants to me is not a garden view. In this site it was not mentioned how much money the extra taxes of the country are and this increased my bill by a third. The hotel is more centred on high society and big parties then to the average traveller who just want a good holiday. I am a western woman travelling with my Indian husband and in most cases my husband was ignored as he didn’t rate some how. I won’t stand for such treatment we should be treated equal. I would ask for two for dinner or breakfast and then the same person would ask my husband if she could help him, we are the only two there it isn’t rocket science. Also I asked about membership to itc and was told as my husband is Indian and I am Australian and we travel between it could not be done. If you don’t mind having your car checked for bombs, going through metal detectors and body searched every time you go in the hotel then go for it. "

They can pick you up just need to call them before o arrange with time. But all then staff is the best!!! Monika special helped so much in all of our stay!!! Plus the breakfast was amazing!!! So if you are either just for one night, or for a relaxing nice time this is the best option!!! "

Con " I did not like the fact that despite me speaking with a Senior Sales Manager and following up the conversation with a confirmation email requesting that the Credit Card used to secure the reservation be charged and not my guests the Reception Staff refused to do the same. The Senior Sales Staff had confirmed to me that my CC would be charged and the guests will not be troubled. Very disappointing. "

The room was so spacious and the breakfast was the bomb. I had the Taj Mahal Palace Bombay as my most favourite hotel. Sorry, Taj! Lodhi you are the best. I liked all the areas: the gym, squash, pool, spa, ping pong. When we were out I just wanted to return and spend more time in the hotel. We have been travelling quite a lot all over the world and I'm not a big fan of Delhi but for this hotel, I will always come back. Thank you all. "

Pro " Very clean, smart, and efficient yet simple and homely hotel. Compared with other hotels in this price range it is very efficient, professional, and smart. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a fridge, sparkling bathroom, and comfortable bed. Good charging sockets, etc. Very helpful, honest, and friendly staff, who were there at all hours and showed initiative in trying to help (for example, they suggested that I take a packed breakfast when I said I would be checking out before breakfast time). The location was so-so. Quite handy to the metro (about a 10-minute walk), but not a lot going on nearby, other than concrete and traffic and impersonal buildings. A few passable eateries in the area, and a market a little walk away, and one or two tasty hawkers to be found in the side streets if you have an hour and try REALLY hard, but it's not exactly a street-food hub. Would definitely recommend for a short, comfortable stay in Delhi. "
Con " The location was a slight negative for me. But only because in other Indian cities and towns I've gotten used to having amazing street food just outside. So maybe this is a Delhi thing rather than specific to this hotel (I was only in Delhi overnight for an early flight). The breakfast buffet certainly left a lot to be desired. Especially for the price. Having said that, there were not a lot of good, cheap breakfast options nearby either. "

Con " Dirty, plug cannot be used, bathroom not clean, not the place of stay for family "
7.6 Good (258 reviews)
Pro " Location "
Con " I paid 30k Rs to get very bad rooms and service in this hotel. Rooms, bathroom and carpets stink. Customer service is very bad. We stayed there for 2 nights only, but had to change 3 rooms as either AC didn't work in one, bathroom clogged in another and sevage stink in third. We just couldn't wait to get out od there. Customer service was very very bad. I don't recommend anyone this hotel. "
