Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast, which was excellent. Lovely, old Inn with many features - winding staircases, creaky floors, etc - we loved it!
we enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere, very helpful staff, excellent dinner with some nice wines to select from and tasty breakfast in the dining room.
bathroom could do with a little update
Small room , Bed very uncomfortable Bathroom had very little room with a shower that appeared to have no thermostat! One minute boiling next freezing ! Breakfast was not the usual standard
Full of history and charm. Log fires. Great food. Very iconic. VERY friendly staff. Especially Sarah who worked in the Bar and cleaned our room. She was so helpful and went out of her way to make our stay special
Parking was awful, but not their fault. At least they had a car park.
An amazing piece of living history in Rye. Crooked ceilings, cozy rooms to read or enjoy champagne in. Perfect location on the beautiful Mermaid Street. Apparently the Inn is haunted, but we did not see any ghosts!
Because the inn is very old, it is quite noisy- creaky floors, window, and very thin walls which means you can hear your neighbours and people walking by your room.
