Pros: Lovely and tasty breakfast. Claire was a wonderful host and provided us with very helpful Information regarding tours in the surrounding.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: To give an extremely honest review, I have never stayed at a gîte, and I was hesitant to do so. I typically would prefer a hotel or air b&b. My boyfriend convinced me to try one, and I’m so happy he did. Régine and the other guests were extremely friendly, we had some great conversations around the fire, and the rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable and cozy. We took off during the day to do backcountry skiing at Mont Édouard, and coming home at night to other likeminded and friendly people was awesome. We are already planning our next trip to stay with her! Also- the breakfast is incredible! 10/10 recommend :)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner was friendly, welcoming and informative. She made every effort to make us comfortable. We enjoyed speaking with her, and learning more about the area.
Cons: We would have preferred a room at the back, and on the main floor. We didn't know it existed, and may have been available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very welcoming, friendly and nice. She was so helpful and kind and made us feel right at home. The location of the B&B is great, in the little town of Petit Saguenay. The breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed our stay! So glad we came.
Cons: The room was a little small, given the slant of the roof/ceiling, it was a little cramped. The smoke alarm needs to be reattached.

Pros: The hosts were welcoming and helpful with information that definitely enhanced our trip. The inn was professionally run, immaculately clean and comfortable. Cons: The internet was intermittent but the cell service was excellent.

Pros: Excellent staff and service, amazing breakfast (make sure you don't miss the home made jams), beautiful landscapes around. Very clean and well maintained. Very close to the fjords of Petit Saguenay, where you can enjoy beautiful views especially at sunset.
Cons: There was a bit of a mushy smell in the room, my guess is it was from the humidity in the air.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was closer than we thought to Tadoussac - only a 10-15 minute drive. It was nice having a supermarket right next door.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived pretty late because we ended up stopping with the kids on the way there, and Caro was there to greet us and show us our room. She was really friendly and helpful during all the time we stayed there. We had some issues with the neighbours, which was out of her control, and she dealt with it the bes she could.
Cons: As mentioned above, we had a really bad neighbour during our stay there, an old cranky lady that complained about everything. We ended up having some really troubling guests that made noise up until really late, and instead of talking to Caro, she ended up screaming like crazy and waking us and our kids up. She caused trouble to some other guests on the other building as well.. Other than that, the room was fine and confortable and we had a good time there. it was close enough to Tadoussac (around 10-12 minutes by car) and we didn't stay in the middle of the city. Price was fair for the confort we had.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: very nice and gentle person staff, give useful tips to go around,

Hôtel Tadoussac - Tadoussac - Building

8.2 Excellent (2,168 reviews)
C$ 160+
Overview Reviews
Thousands of years of natural hospitality. Set a course for Tadoussac- a picturesque village standing at the edge of the boreal forest near the Saguenay fjord and a stones throw from the sea. Tadoussac was a major trade area for aboriginal people; a whale and beluga hunting ground; a safe harbor for explorers Cartier and Champlain; and a vacation resort as early as 1864. The Tadoussac Hotel with its whitewashed walls; maritime colors; red roof; dormer windows;and cupola marking the centre of the building calls to mind an enormous lighthouse standing not quite a cables length from the magnificent sandy beach nearby. The hotels silhouette is like a beacon, for generations navigators have been using it as a Landmark when piloting their vessels in the St. Lawrence. The buildings architecture testifies to the close bond between Tadoussac and the sea. As you look out from the hotel terrace, you will see an ocean of green; marsh hay; sails; boats; sea foam; and in the distance, whales. This prestigious vacation destination long treasured by wealthy American tourists was little known by Quebecers until the early 1980s. The Tadoussac Hotel has seen its popularity steadily increase drawing tourists; specialists; and Naturalists from around the globe that come to watch whales In a superb natural setting. In addition, the charming coastal Village casts its own spell over our guests. Couples on a Romantic getaway; outdoor enthusiasts; ecologists; and Amateur photographers set out on the St. Lawrence Heroically braving the elements for a chance to see whales up close. A stay with us is what you want it to be- a haven of tranquility/ your springboard to adventure- the perfect place for a tete-a-tete with that special someone or a great family vacation. The Property is open seasonally from May to October.

Cons: Not applicable
7.1 Good
Pros: Excellent location at Tadoussac beach. The rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: We didn't have a good experience in the bar and with the bar staff. The wine we returned because it tasted off was still billed to us. The bar staff was unfriendly. In general, I personally think the house could use some renovations here and there, especially the bathrooms.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Like many old hotels in the 'grand' style the interior is looking a little tired and in need of refurbishment. It could be a really nice hotel but it gives the impression of trading on former glories.

Pros: Just a delightful place to stay.
Cons: Weather could have been kinder.

Cons: The bath was leaking on the carpet on the other side of the room while taking a shower, but should be fixed soon. Not a lot of choices for breakfast, so we decided to eat somewhere else.

Cons: There is no restaurant attached to the hotel. Breakfast was not included in the room cost. The hotel advertised that breakfast would be available in the next-door restaurant at 9.00 Canadian dollars. However, we were charged much more. Amenities were very basic. 7.9 Good
Pros: Fab location right in the centre of town. Room was small but functional and parking right outside was great.
Cons: We were in a separate building on a different street to the Auberge, which was fine in itself, but a bit annoying when we needed to speak to reception. The locks on the doors are very hard to work out - make sure you ask the staff for a demo before you leave the front desk!

Pros: Not a bad view of the bay, apart from the power poles and wires. And a decent breakfast, cooked to order and very quickly prepared.
Cons: No blackout curtains, and outdoor lights on all night. Thin walls, so be prepared to listen to your neighbours. Fixtures and fittings that have seen better days. And only one free coffee pod per room. You pay for any extras. In a nutshell, not good value for money, especially at just under $200 per night after taxes.

Intermarche supermkt next door and boutiques and restaurants on street. Lovely river view in front. Jetty for whale cruises within 5 minutes walk. The lady at reception(feel terrible tht we dint get her name) was wonderful. Since we dint have a car, she picked us up and dropped us to the intercar bus stop which was 1.5 kms away over steep incline. We are really grateful to her. She refused to take payment. Amazing customer service. Fixed breakfast was available fr 9 CAD. We hd omlette, 2 toast and butter, potato wedges, bacon or sausages, cut fruit, coffee and orange juice. You have to pay 1.5 CAD fr each extra. Though the staff does not speak english at all, we managed with gestures. They were very sweet ladies, always smiling and helpful

5.7 Okay
Pros: From other motels in Ontario this one from Quebec looks to be very good. First of all, don't forget this is a motel. So you will not get the same facilities like a hotel. The dinner is not included in the price. The one you can have at the motel's restaurant is pretty basic. We went there with 2 kids (2yo and 4yo) and it was relatively ok taking into consideration it was just for one night.
Cons: Be careful, room n30 doesn't have wifi at all. So if you need Interned offered by the motel, ask for another room.

Pros: You can walk to to port.
Cons: The washrooms do not have fan.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry over the fjord and a short walk from the restaurants and few shops that make up the small town. The picturesque harbour area is about 10 minutes walk away. The room was quite large with it's own kitchen area and table and chairs and was very comfortable with plenty of parking. The lady at the reception was very helpful and will book you on excursions such as whale watching trips if you ask. The location is perfect for whale watching trips and to take a drive to see the fjord. For a pleasant drink after your day's excursions you should definitely visit the beautiful Hotel Tadoussac.

It was clear that a great deal of thought went into making things user friendly—the air conditioning worked well, the hair dryer was excellent, the bathroom had all the necessary supplies, etc. The gardens are beautiful.
Cons: The internet was intermittent but the cell service was excellent.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff and service, amazing breakfast (make sure you don't miss the home made jams), beautiful landscapes around. Very clean and well maintained. Very close to the fjords of Petit Saguenay, where you can enjoy beautiful views especially at sunset.
Cons: There was a bit of a mushy smell in the room, my guess is it was from the humidity in the air.
