If you like swank and new, don’t come here. BUT perfect for people who like old world feel, easy enough hike (if you enjoy walking) to Fisherman’s Wharf and other tourist destinations, delightful Italian restaurant is part of the establishment and breakfast is at the corner and elsewhere. Staff helpful and cheerful. Value for money if on a budget and wanting to not break the bank in San Francisco.
Maybe put blinds/Venetian in the bathroom.. the curtains make a charming bathroom a little tacky.
location is in the tenderloin district
i paid for the victoria suite as avdertised on the interent. The room had no airconditing also had no telephone This was false advertising of the property and i got stung 2767 .00 for 8 nights under false and misleading info through the booking agency
The decor and the cleanliness. Room looked brand new with vintage furniture. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is old and has some quirks. I appreciated its charm by the end if my stay.
Close to the concert venue. Nice attempt to use antiques. Light fixtures were very nice.
Most things were in disrepair. Chipped and peeling paint, burned and dirty carpet, the part of town was not great. With some repairs and attention to detail it could be very nice. It feels like the owner just gave up
It was a really stylish hotel. The elevator was something special, which you cann see only in older movies. A big plus was the distance to Lombard Street and the Ocean. It is walking distance. But you have to be fit. The hills! San Francisco has 34. The Union Square is also walking distance. Renting of a car is n o t necessary. There are busses nearby. The Twin Peaks is a highlight and a must. This hotel is trustworthy, they presented the bill when we checked out. Many others debit two days after booking or whenever they want. There is always one at the reception desk; we arrived about midnight and appreciated this comfort and the welcome very much.
The windows could be opened in the old style. And there was a fire-ladder for escape. And - there was fitted carpet.
A stay at Nob Hill Hotel places you in the heart of San Francisco, within a 10-minute walk of Van Ness Avenue and The Regency Ballroom. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
