Safe location, across from the Tica bus terminal and around the corner from Transporte del Sol bus terminal, bar across the road, and privacy curtains on the bunk beds
Dorm rooms reaked of sweat and body odour including our bed sheets when we checked in (either weren’t washed properly or not washed at all), there was only a small window so not much ventilation and although I tried to put the fan on someone else in the dorm turned it off (I’m assuming because it’s a loud fan) so it was a hot and uncomfortable two nights. I was also charged $5 USD for a towel which is insane especially considering the dorm bed is already expensive... around the same price as a private room everywhere else we have stayed in Central America. The bottom courtyard also smells like dog and cat urine and the dogs lay on the couches all night... so although it seems like it’s a nice social space it stinks and isn’t really worth using. While I love animals and have enjoyed having dogs at hostels etc., the dogs at this hostel bark at you every time you go in and out of the hostel which isn’t very welcoming or appropriate for a hostel... there’s even a sign on what to do if they bark/growl at you.. if that’s necessary then they probably shouldn’t be there.
Acuurate place when you need to stay in El Salvador for a short time and you are on budget. Especially very helpful when you arrive with Tica Bus, which station is located right over the street. The sleeping cabins are quite comfortable, nice staff and beers in the fridge.
Water cuts for the night time
The place was wonderfull, really beautiful, there was an area where you could sit down a little tree, it gives you a sensation of peace.
Dorms were clean and well organised. Comfortable mattress. Well equipped kitchen. Good location in secure area.
Area a bit noisy. Limited cheap local food options nearby - mostly American fast-food type places.
Very well located, comfy bed, big bathroom and cool staff.
Not water at 2am :( considering I wanted to shower before taking the bus to Honduras
