The location and the cleanness is awesome, if I will come to San Sebastian again, I will stay here again.
The reception is closed at 22:00, so if you leave your luggage at the reception, you have to make sure to pick it up before 22:00. But with this price you wouldn't expext reception to be open 24 hour so it is okay.
The hostel was in a brilliant place, and the rooms were so tidy. Staff were really friendly and there was a communal kitchen area.
Very expensive, the shares toilets had no tissue and it was very difficult to find as the sign was high up and not obvious
A lot of noise from the street, day and night. You really need earplugs and a couple glasses of txakoli in order to sleep.
The location is amazing. Close to the beach and lots of restaurants/bars... pintxos galore! Lodging in San Sebastian is pricey during peak season (i.e. - summer) and on a Saturday night. Since we were travelling with family (8 ppl), this property was practical and suited our needs.
I booked a private room with private bath for 4 people and 4 single beds. For the private room, the picture on booking showed two double beds, but we had two bunk beds, which was fine. At least the mattresses were comfortable. However, my aunt stayed in the shared room and mentioned it was hot, so she opened the window. Unfortunately, one of the other guests closed the window. So with that said, there's no A/C, but as along as you can open the window, it's not so bad (unless you're a light sleeper, as there is a lot of activity going on outside).
Rooms were nice. Bed was comfortable. Bathrooms were nice.
Very noisy area. Room floors were dirty.
With a stay at Pensión Goiko in San Sebastian (Old Town), you'll be a 3-minute walk from Monte Urgull and 7 minutes by foot from Concha Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
