The apartment has more or less everything you need, it is ok for a few nigths.
Sofa in the living room is not very comfortable to sleep.
excelent value for the money we've spent. would recommend it.
the water pressure was quite low.
Clean, big apartment, actually much bigger than I needed alone.
When I arrived there wasn't anyone I could talk to. I had to look for a phone number for the place, but luckily I could reach them via phone.
Great stay if you’re planning to be close to the Romanian border. Exceptional price!
Salt and vinegar and olive oil missing. But we pulled through :D
3 nights, June/July 2019, Superior Double Room (room #5). Apartment was as good as expected. Definitely a very good price to us. Room was clean; (small) balcony provided a nice touch and gave us a chance to enjoy a nice breeze on a couple of hot summer days. We were checked-in by a very nice (albeit not English-speaking) man and paid upon check-in. We even could pay in Euros. The neighborhood felt very safe; almost all if not all houses are very nice. There is very little traffic in the surrounding streets. About a nice 15-minute walk to the central park, though there are some small convenience stores located closer. Too bad we couldn't check out the veg restaurant "ESante". I'd use it again and recommend it. --- While communication with the host was lacking before our trip (see below), although everything worked out fine, we did meet the host/manager after checking out: our bus transport had failed to pick us up and speaking neither Hungarian nor much Romanian, we're eternally grateful to our host for calling the transport company and clearing everything up.
- I inquired twice beforehand because we had to check out very early in the morning and did not get a reply. Being rather conservative when it comes to traveling, I might have canceled because I felt unsure if it would work out, had it not been for traveling with friends who had been to Romania many times and told me not to worry about it. Of course, I could also have just phoned the host and the whole thing might have been resolved within 2 minutes... . The host is very fluent in English, so communication would not have been a problem at all. - From the description, I probably expected a bit more in terms of "kitchen", i.e. opportunity to prepare my own food. Just a couple of heads-up, not complaints: - Our rooms were beneath the roof, so it can get a bit hot during summer. If you're sensitive to heat, you might want to make sure to be on the ground floor. - If you're tall (> 6'3" or > 190cm) and you know that bed length can be an issue for you, you might want to contact them beforehand. The bed itself was ok (in terms of satisfying both a hard and soft mattress enthusiast) for us, but I'm not sure if our friends in the other room were completely satisfied. - If you're a very light sleeper or if you're terrified of dogs, maybe a hotel is a preferable solution for you.
