The service desk was awful. The rep at the counter was rude, openly annoyed, extremely unhelpful, and seemed to revel in charging us more when we needed to switch from an all electric to gas vehicle. No where in our reservation was it started that I was renting an all electric vehicle. When needing to extend the reservation, the customer service line was completely unhelpful and suggested the website. Overall horrendous experience, will not be renting from Budget Savannah anymore.

Budget did not render 24/7 shuttle services to airport terminal from rental car return to the terminal, costing me an unextpected $28 and wasting the 30 minutes I waited for a shuttle that never came. Had I known there would be no shuttle when I returned my car, I would not have done business with Budget that day.

Budget did not have car keys available when we checked in and we had to go with a minivan vs Chevy Suburban which we ordered months in advance. The Suburban was on the property, but keys were not at the front desk. We will use Hertz and or Enterprise in the future to be able to go to the car and miss the long wait and poor communication at the rental car desk (it was Avis managing Budget customers). We should be given a discount for minivan vs large SUV, but I do not have the time to deal with the poor customer service again.

I love giving places the benefit of the doubt. I had a two hour wait for my car bc y out guys messed up scheduling for your staff. The staff was great- this is a company problem. Lovely people at the desk- poor management by budget. If picking up a car takes longer than the flight then there’s a serious problem with your company. This is not the first time I’ve had this experience with you. However, I was willing to leave this alone and deal with the situation. Then I turned in my car and got a bill for 70 more for a 45 minute over charge. You guys were two hours late giving us cars and have the audacity to try to charge 70 for 45 minutes? Which I turned the car in within the time alotted and there was no one who suggested it wasn’t there on time. I’m not sure when they got it checked in after I left it. But it is there. Also it’s cleaner than when I got it. The main reason I’m not going to write you an official negative review is that you had an amazing customer service rep who fixed the problem on the phone. You are so lucky to have some great staff that keeps covering for your companies mistakes. The people deserve a raise for dealing with the lack of structure, billing issues, work force issues, and overall unconcern the company has for the time it wastes of its customers. Your staff is saving you.

Car could have been in better condition. It broke down on I4 in FL at 10pm and customer service was less than helpful for an hour. The tow truck when it arrived was great but getting help from Enterprise or state police in FL didn’t materialize. Enterprise should have sent an Uber at their expense as we were 7 miles from an exit. If it wasn’t for the amazing tow truck driver we might still be waiting. Customer service needs a big upgrade.

I set a reservation and they called me as I was deplaning to tell me they didn’t have any cars and apologized that they couldn’t honor my reservation, so I had to go to Hertz and pay an exorbitant price for a 2 day rental.

My rental agreement at sign up said, “A Kia Soul or Similar.” When I arrived at Avis, they compelled me to take an EV or be up charged for a gasoline vehicle. This proved difficult since I was taking a long trip to Charlotte, NC from Savannah, GA. I was three hours late to my class because I could not find a suitable charging station. Keeping the charge on the vehicle proved a challenge to say the least. They didn’t even provide a power cord for charging at home.

Pros:

Staff at the counter not overly friendly, and there was confusion about what car we rented and needed as their current inventory was very low. We ended up getting a vehicle that worked, but it was different from what we booked. Returning the car was quick and easy, and the car itself was very nice.

Aweful. My flight got delayed so they cancelled my car because I didn’t pick it up at the exact reservation time. I had to make an emergency trip due to my Grandmother being in the hospital. This was really inconvenient and I will never give Thrifty my business again.

Check in and check out was great! Quick and easy, efficient people working the desk. Didn’t like the price changed at counter verses on line. $10 more per day to upgrade from a van to a compact car. I requested a compact car being it was only me in the car. Doesn’t seem right!
