I love the location and the staff are very friendly. Value for the money. Overall i can recommend the hotel.
There a distinct smell from the toilet sink and the glass wall of the toilet makes it awkward to take a business in the toilet for group travellers. Slippers are not provided along with toothpaste and shampoo.
In the heart of Myeongdong, markets at your doorstep heaps of shops food places and night food market. Close to myeongdong station like 5 min walk and right in the centre of town so easy to walk to a lot of other places like the palaces and Seoul tower etc. Free breakfast! and the kitchen (cute little common area) was on our floor and you could use it to cook in microwave or get a hot tea/ make noodles whenever you wanted as they always had hot/ cold filtered water. Shower water went very hot which was good in winter. They have free luggage storage at reception. They were so kind to let us check in at 3am (after hours) as our flight arrangements changed. They left the key and a note at reception and we grabbed it when we arrived.
Confusing to find it’s down a back alley between some bag shops, not really where google maps says it is there are extra alleys then what is on google maps. Download Kakao map for more accurate maps. look for the mr healing sign. Speaking of mr healing it played music all though the night and Christmas carols even though it was February. (You could hear this in the kitchen and out the front of the building but not in the room thank god). Bathroom was so small and is a shoilet (shower over toilet) so toilet gets wet every time you shower. floor also stays wet for a long time so we had to wear shoes in there so our feet didn’t get wet after showering. bathroom walls had some soap scum on them. You get a tiny towel to dry yourself like hand towel size (but think that’s a Korean thing as we got one at every place we stayed in Korea). We think the room actually used to be two rooms and has been converted to one room with a bathroom so were random blocked off doors. Was confused the booking said slippers and we grabbed some first night on entrance to the floor as you have to take your shoes off but then they went missing when we came back the next day, then turned up again a day later. not sure if they were for guests or someone elses in the end. The bed was hard as was the pillows. The tv was hard to figure out took us ages and kept getting stuck on the movie trailer channel. Breakfast was only toast or noodles and juice. Room sometimes smelt a bit musty after using shower. No room make up each day if you need something go to reception. The window let in a lot of light in the morning so had to hang our jackets up to block it. There was no fridge in room but you could use the one in the kitchen if you put your room number on it.
Location and bed is clean and comfortable
Toilet was tiny but bearable. The cleaning staff didnt do a good job as there was some rubbish on the table when we arrived.
The staff are friendly and they are very accommodating. They try their best to please their guest.
Location is the best
Small room. Small towell and smelly bathroom
