9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was large, shower and bathroom facilities. Lovely view. Fantastic hosts and breakfast.
Cons: further away from the city centre so unable to walk there.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view is excellent. The hosts are very attentive and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. As I had to leave early, they accommodated serving me breakfast before their routine time. They assisted us with dinner reservations and suggestions. All were very good.
Cons: I personally prefer a hot breakfast. The spread was restricted to only cold items. The location is on the top of the hill. So you must have a car or else it is a 45 minutes walk from the center of the town all uphill.

Pros: Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea.
7.3 Good
Pros: Attractive, clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms, lovely setting on the sea, nice breakfasts, good value.
Cons: There is nowhere to eat very close by, so it would be nice if the hotel could offer simple snacks at lunch or early evening, and also teamaking facilities in the room [you can't really go down to the breakfast room in your dressing gown to get tea at 7am]. Le Grand Hotel - Sète - Building
5
8.6 Excellent (709 reviews)
C$ 208+
Overview Reviews
This hotel is set in the heart of Sète, between the Mediterranean and the Thau Lake, and features a contemporary décor and an on-site gourmet restaurant. Guests are invited to relax in the hotel's glass-roofed courtyard. All of the air-conditioned rooms are individually decorated and include parquet flooring. Each room is equipped with a TV, a telephone and a minibar. The hotel's spacious restaurant, Quai 17, proposes Mediterranean-style cuisine, prepared with local products. Breakfast is served every morning at Le Grand Hotel. The Sète Train Station is situated 1.8 km from the hotel and the city of Frontignan is 9 km away. Montpellier is reached by car in 35 minutes.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, within easy walking distance of the busy parts of town and overlooking the harbour, and yet quite quiet inside. The double/triple glazing in the bedroom meant almost all noise could be shut out at night, and the air-conditioning was very quiet and efficient. There is secure parking (you need to reserve a space) for 12Euros a day - this is well worth it. For breakfast, we 'went local' and chose to go to the large indoor market a couple of blocks away, which was bustling and fun. You can buy anything you want from the stalls (delicious cakes, breads, fruits, shellfish ...) and eat it at the tables provided by the coffee shops. We had breakfast at the hotel on our last day, and it was ok but not brilliant (very little fresh fruit but very nice breads and croissants).
Cons: Breakfast could have offered more fresh fruit - it's not hard to come by in Sete!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was excellent for easy access to the old town and the St. Louis festival. However because of the festival the price of the rooms was probably elevated I did not have breakfast as it was easy and less expensive to have coffee/croissant in a nearby cafe
Cons: Air conditioning didn't work too well
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this hotel and the tasting menu at the restaurant was absolutely outstanding - very good value at 48 euros.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room style is lovely. I really like double door. It is still keeping originality. Double glazed French window/doors are so thoughtful keep noise out.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. My partner had had a very nasty fall that day and wasn’t very mobile. We were late arriving as we had spent hours at Sète hospital but they booked a nearby restaurant for dinner and gave us a breakfast tray each morning to avoid him having to go up and down stairs so often.
Cons: Given the mobility problem, a walk in shower would have been good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Good breakfast.

Pros: Bed really good, staff friendly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was quite good and plentiful. We were lucky to find parking nearby as the hotel does not have parking.

Hotel L'Orque Bleue - Sète - Building
7
8.4 Excellent (1,122 reviews)
C$ 164+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel L'Orque Bleue places you in the heart of Sète, within a 15-minute walk of Paul Valery Museum and Gulf of Lion. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: Extremely clean, nice lobby area. Great location.
Cons: The room was extremely small with no view. The bathroom was in a small closet and to get to the sink it was necessary to pass through the room and into another small area with sink and shower. No drawers for items, only a very narrow side table so even purses sat on the floor. No closet for clothes, a small open rack with some hangers. Bed and bedding was clean but very basic and we had to request pillows, which were brought. No place to sit and certainly not possible to setup a laptop without sitting on the bed. Not possible to have anyone in the room and no gathering spot in the hotel to sit with travel companions or have a drink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyting

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Very friendly and accommodating staff. On-site parking was very convenient.

Pros: Location and helpful pleasant staff
Cons: More choice at breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very well located. Private parking. Nice staff. Good view from the room.
Cons: Not easy to park if you have a big car. Breakfast could be better. Rooms ok for solo or couple but not with kids.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the centre of town..nice hotel. Clean. Good food and a good reception. And we had transport outside the hotel if needed.
Cons: We liked everything
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly
Cons: The property was not value for money
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This Ibis hotel is no different from any other Ibis apart from the fact that it has the 'wellness' facilities (extra cost) and a heated swimming pool (free) - the very reason we chose to stay there. Our room was on the small side but perfectly adequate for a two night stay. The food served for breakfast was excellent and although a bit limited, the evening menu was not too bad. That said, the food was cooked very well and the restaurant staff were really good. The pool was really nice and was clearly designed as a place to chill out in. The hotel is located at the top of a small hill just back from the sea-front {? Lake front} and is relatively quiet.
Cons: Children being allowed to use the wellness centre swimming pool as if it was a water 'Fun Park'. Possibly a parental issue but something the hotel staff need to watch out for as this did spoil our stay. Not against kids having fun (far from it!) but not at the expense of the hotel residents using the wellness centre for relaxation purposes. Our room had a small balcony but there were no chairs to sit on and enjoy it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location Good value
7.9 Good
Pros: loved the swimming pool The proximity to the village and a good restaurant
Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room friendly staff. Superb breakfast - fruit salad and home made cake. Free Parking
Cons: I cannot think of anything.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the spa. and facilities. At the reception, we were well handled even though we stayed only one night to transfer to their sister hotel The internet was brilliant at the lobby
Cons: Its quige a distance from Montpellier airport. Otherwise, it was perfect
6.7 Good
Cons: you need to walk to the lobby to get some hot water, you can not make hot water for the tea in the room. And there is no free bottle of water in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The comfort and cleanliness
Cons: Outdoor area near pool needs looking after
Hôtel Impérial - Sète - Building

With a stay at Hôtel Impérial in Sète, you'll be on the boardwalk, within a 5-minute drive of Paul Valery Museum and Gulf of Lion. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff always ready to help, little corner for children to play and of course the sky bar which is a good place for watching sunset. Walking distance from the beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel very close to the beach and the promenade
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff was great and very helpful, central location within walking distance to major attractions. Availability of a parking on hotel premise Cool rooftop music lounge with a view overlooking the town
Cons: Street noise/traffic was disturbing, as our suite on the 2nd floor overlooking the square Very bad ventilation in the toilet bathroom, even though we kept the small window open all the time; the smell was nauseating
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel. We booked 2 rooms as no family rooms available. One room was at the front of the hotel and had a balcony and was lovely and bright and nicely decorated. The other room was also nicely decorated but was at the side of the building so the view out to the car park was a bit bleak and made the room a bit darker, however it was still a good room. The breakfast was very good. Also the staff were very nice. The sky bar is a great amenity providing lovely cocktails. Hotel in a nice location if you want to be close to the beach and if you want a break from the very busy town centre (in August anyway). Also some nice restaurants on the doorstep. Also was walking distance to town (with a 6yr old and 8yr old) which was faster and easier than driving in the gridlock traffic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room and bathroom, the buffet breakfast was good and had plenty of options. The staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed the walk from the hotel along the seafront to the old port for a fresh fish lunch. The location is ok for a couple of nights but there's not much going on in the immediate vicinity so you'd always need to walk/drive/taxi back to the old town for any vibrancy or head west to the beaches that run towards Cap d'Agde. The roof top bar is nice for a drink before dinner. If you are driving book your parking space with the hotel ahead of time, otherwise the parking lot opposite, or on street parking is expensive.
Cons: We though it was a little over-priced as it was quite a standard chain type hotel.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The air-conditioning worked well and the Wi-Fi was good. The bedsheets were clean.
Cons: The pictures of the rooms look much better than they really are. The furniture was used up and damaged in various places. In general the room had cheap feel to it. The toilette smelled of Urin. The towels were white/yellow from use. The continuous noise, both from the hotel, and from the busy road in front of the hotel (Cars trucks and motorcycles going by), kept us up until at least 2 o’clock in the morning and woke us up again around 6am. This room would’ve been appropriately priced at €80 not €200.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and roof top bar
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room/king suite was excellent. Roomy, comfortable with a balcony and sea view.
Cons: Location was outside of the "Sete Centre" :-) / and restaurants to the west were all residential/apartment based. Rooftop bar was excellent but dinner there and nearby doesn't start until 7pm.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room with nice touches, such as USB ports.
Cons: The toilet was an issue, I am not a big person and I had to sit on the toilet before shutting the door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the proximity to the beach shops and restaurants and that we were very well looked after by Maxime and Margo on reception.
Cons: Cycle lanes on pavement. Busy roads.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable stopover on way south. Good breakfast.
Cons: We had stayed there before when they had a private secure car park. We were very upset when we arrived to find out that we had to park in a public car park. If we had known this beforehand we would have cancelled. However reception did reimburse us for the cost.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location,
Cons: Noisy birthday party and a dripping toilet meant a poor nights sleep
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel with clean rooms, very well located
Cons: AirCo difficult to manage...
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Difficult to access. No staff on the premises after 9 pm. We were delayed and arrived after this time. We emailed to tell them this, but they said they never received it. We happened to meet another guest outside when we finally arrived and he let us in to the hotel. After searching in reception for our room key or some kind of note from the staff, we gave up and slept on a couch in the lobby!!!! When the first staff arrived at 6:30 in the morning they were very rude to us and showed no understanding of the situation at all. I asked if it would have been better had we just slept in our car!!! There was no kind of explanation, apology, or even simple acknowledgement of the predicament we’d been in by the staff, who kept insisting that what we did was “not permitted,” and they made it clear we should leave immediately. Based on our experience I could not, would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The room smelled pretty bad. I think this was due to the air con. Shower was also not fully functional.

Pros: Staff very professional
Cons: We understand that “ Best Western “ is a franchaise , and normally run by an owner manager , which means that they try just that little bit harder to ensure you have an enjoyable stay . We had booked a “ standard Queen size “ , but were originally offered a basic “ box “ . We had also asked for sea views , and had an e-mail confirming this was available “ at no extra cost “ . We were eventually upgraded , but told that it would be an extra €5 , but still no sea view / balcony . We will continue to book “ Best Western “ when we are seeking that “ little extra “ , but this certainly wasn’t provided in Hotel des Thermes . Since the hotel was not very busy in the first half of December , this was very disappointing .The staff member we dealt with was very pleasant amd professional throughout , but our overall experience was far below what we have experienced in other “ Best Westerns “
8.8 Excellent
Pros: all good apart from sign posting from town centre and having to park a little away from the hotel as there is limited on site parking.
Cons: see above but overall good
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff friendly
Cons: The breakfast very poor
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Spacious, but poorly equipped bathroom, with free-pf-charge flooding while taking a shower.
7.9 Good
Pros: Evening receptionist very helpful when we arrived as although we had booked a parking space, none were available. However he said when he left later we could have his space and he even waited until we had retrieved our car so that no one else would take the space.
Cons: The location as it was in amongst many blocks of flats.
6.7 Good
Cons: Didn't have the full breakfast as the fruit salad was out of a tin and not fresh - very disappointing. Although the hotel was OK inside, the exterior was very run down, no what we are used to with the Best Western Group. Very untidy grounds full of weeds etc. No parking available (this was the main reason for booking the hotel!). Very depressing location. Could not recommend visiting this town at all.
6.7 Good
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable
Cons: The building is quite old, and no parking space outside. A lot of noise at night

Pros: Great continental breakfast, wide assortment of delicious cheeses was especially welcome! There was cheap parking just across the street, but you need to get in place by around 2pm to get a spot.
Cons: We left the window open for ventilation, but there was some street noise that we should have anticipated!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We bought the breakfast which was good value for money. The room was perfect for what we wanted not spacious but clean with nice shower etc. The owners love their pets and if you like pets you will fine cats and dogs in the entrance. Overall it was value for money very near to the canals and easy walk to the station
Cons: Don't like pets in the entrance area but the rooms were very clean etc. No Real issues with the hotel

Pros: Excellent situation, hotel was basic ,rooms clean and a comfortable bed.Breakfast was good with a good choice.Staff friendly but only French spoken.Would stay again.
Cons: Obviously there had been some upgrading to the toilet and bedroom. However we did have to sit in the bath as the shower came from a mixer on the taps.No problem there however.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely lady owner , no English spoken , and no French by us! But we got by. Very helpful and happy
Cons: The shower had no curtain and was hand held. This is typical of old French hotels though I have seen this many times, but this is France!! This was £53 per night and good value for money. Breakfast is an extra €8 we didn’t have it so can’t comment on the quality. Would recommend if you are on a budget or just staying one or two nights.

5.4 Okay
Pros: The check in was easy and friendly. The aircon was good. Proximity to the Train station was good. There were a few good Bar/Brasseries close by. Walking to the Centre Ville was easy.
Cons: The room was small, tiny shower and loo area. The balcony was filthy...didn't want to open the doors. Bed uncomfortable and there was ONE pillow....not much attention to the comfort of the guests. Toilet paper on the rack was empty, with only one extra roll. The walls of the room were dirty, as was the carpet. This hotel is way overpriced. 76 euros for one night. I had also emailed them prior to my stay to ask for an extra night. They never responded. Thank goodness I found a better hotel instead!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in despite being really late to arrive, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: Everything was fine.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, cleanliness, room size, room amenities.
Cons: Master bedroom overlooking the street with no blinds, makes it hard to sleep when the sun rises. There was no wifi available, although free wifi is listed in the property features. You can only communicate with property in French and only through email or phone and response is not prompt so it makes it problematic when you have a question or request about the room.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good location for us
Cons: Room 22 has musty smell with damp patch by aircon unit. Black mould in the bathroom and squashed mosquitoes on wall. The shower was too small
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and my room was comfortable. Despite being just off a busy road into town it was a quiet street. Reasonably good breakfast offering. Also useful for me it was close to the railway station.
Cons: Had trouble connecting to WiFi and unable to get on line in the time I was there.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Large and quiet room
Cons: No working WiFi / Staff not very competent in helping solving WiFi issues / staff surprised to see us at breakfast even though he had charged us for it at checking the night before
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was close to the rail station (10 mins max) and bus stops very close. Quiet location, adequate continental breakfast. Good aircon.
Cons: Felt it was a bit far from the active side of Sete, but it was walkable or a bus ride away. Not as many restaurant choices nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old traditional hotel. Quiet street and was able to park outside hotel. Breakfast excellent in a lovely room. Great evening at brasserie Victor Hugo next to hotel good food, live entertainment 3 guitars, all excellent value! All good!
Cons: Nothing, everything was good!

Pros: Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was very pleasant. Quiet near-city-centre location, but a fair walk from town centre and shopping streets and marchès! Nice and clean towels and linen.
Cons: Wi-Fi coverage in reception and breakfast room only. A bit scruffy bathroom with a useless shower support (hanger).

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice with beach on other side of hotel.
Cons: To be honest I was kind of shocked. I had read comments other people had previously written about the place so I was kind of aware not to expect very much, but this...for about more than 100 euros per night...overprized really. The old lady (owner i supposed) seems to be burned out, really not professional at all and seems as all that matters for her is money. The floors in the room did not feel clean. When I was supposed to leave one of the personell ran after me and Said that she wanted to inform me i had to pay 1 euro per night as tax. Like it was the most important thing on earth. Except that - this young girl at reception with brown hair was the only exception of a total catastrophe. She was nice. So it's really not worth the money and be aware it's only possible to reach sete centre with bus. So definitely choose a hotel in the center. I will definitely never return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The young girl who worked at reception was very helpful. Called a bike shop in Marseille to help us as we do not speak French ten out of ten for her help. Made the stay
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly. Room was lovely for a family. And location ideal across the road from a beautiful beach. My kids idea of heaven.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Changed our room from rear of property to a beach view. reception was very accomodating. recommend the sea view. comfortable bed. Breakfast was continental style with fresh produce and english tea available
Cons: Road works outside the hotel which made access difficult and noisy in the morning. Im sure this will soon be finished, hotel could do with updating and some general maintenance but this did not spoil our stay.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing!!!
Cons: Everything , the first thing was the staff had no clue also lied to me about the air conditioner, place needs a complete overhaul as it is about 20years outdated!! Walls are dirty windows you could just about see out of them, front door lock was Brocken, nowhere near enough electric sockets. And parking is a lottery. After seeing how dirty it was I refused breakfast !!!
6.7 Good
Cons: Usually expect tea and coffee in the room so was disappointed to have to pay for machine tea/ coffee
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - true sea view - have normal parking more than 20 place - quiet place where you can forget city rush
Cons: - some strange conditioner, we can not understand how use it
7.5 Good
Pros: It is right on the beach.
Cons: Room small and view was ruined by roof right in front of our window
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was by the beach.
Cons: No one was at the reception until 15:00.
