The hotel has mid-century modern minimalist decor that suits our aesthetic taste. The hotel faces a busy main street but once you enter a spacious hall decorated with natural wood furniture, your stress level goes down immediately-the lobby is on the third floor. The trilingual staff at front desk is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is delicious with a choice of Taiwanese and Western dishes. Their French toast was really good. The magnificent National Palace Museum is only 10 min walk from the hotel. If you like peace and tranquility for appreciating fine art, for writing or for some intellectual pursuit, away from bustling downtown, this is your place--It is not touristy, but not far from the night market and other attractions. I noticed that the hotel guests include professors who attended academic conferences at the nearby university and seasoned business people who like quiet spots for meetings. On the 5th floor is a small gym; laundry machines are free to use. there is also a small library overlooking a garden and a lily pond. The room is clean and spacious; the minibar in the room has a couple of soft drinks and water bottles for free. There is a convenience store nearby.
it is not very close to metro station but one can get a cab easily.
Distance to city center
its closeness to the national museum is it's only redeeming factor. a 200 meter walk up the hill which was worth the walk!
bathroom floor flooded when you took a shower, bed was too firm, pillows too. no choices in the set breakfast
Wait for too long at least 30mins for breakfast then the server sent the breakfast to other late coming guests. The breakfast is not that fancy one or complicated one to prepare, just a piece of bagel , piece of veggie as salad and a sunny side up egg. Totally waste my time and appetite, the breakfast cost me Around ntd500 including in the room fee. So ridiculous
I like the view from the room and the bed was nice. I love the design and style of the common areas and the building as a whole. I love the mural , library and zen garden.
There are very little facilities and perks included at the rate. Breakfast is expensive considering it's not buffet. It's not very welcoming at the foyer as the reception is on the upper floor. Food is not readily available whenever you're hungry as the restaurant closes early.
