Pros:

Staff were helpful and area was clean

Cons:

Lots of hidden costs. Minimum insurance purchase amounts and red tape. Payment online is solely for the car rental not for any insurance etc. Staff were great though it’s not their fault.

I had rented a car from Enterprise a day earlier without any issues. I wasn’t forced to take coverage, because my credit card had some. I wasn’t forced to show proof. I wasn’t obliged to bring my passport. And I didn’t have to wait for the hour lunch break. At Avis, I was forced to take coverage I didn’t need and pay more than the advertised price. I was forced to wait for the lunch break to be over. I was forced to go back to my hotel to get my passport. And the car was terrible with no GPS or Apple Car Play

The problem with the rental was that the price that we were supposed to pay almost doubled from what we originally agreed upon with kayak. They somehow drew up two different contracts. They showed us what we were going to be charged, but then they used another contract to actually charge us a way different amount. We are going to dispute this charge with our credit card company to try to recover our losses.

We spent over an hour talking to the front desk with no clear explanation of what’s going on, until she finally told us they never had the car we booked. They gave it to another couple (who was standing beside us the whole time) who had to get to the airport. And that’s fine, but we could have went to a different rental place without wasting an hour watching her sit behind her computer.

The people and pickup process were just awful. I made a reservation, but there were no cars. An hour after my reservation, we started the pick up process, and it took over an hour! They gave me paperwork for the wrong car, the service was terrible, and it was a huge waste of tiime
