Room was lovely. Slightly dated but warm, clean and comfy. Parking was great and plentiful.
The restaurant, the starters were lovely but the main courses were awful. My partner had the Lamb and it’s was like it had been reheated the day before. The cauliflower was hard and rubbery again just like it had been reheated. I had the Cajun chicken and it was dry, peppercorn sauce had a very odd unpleasant taste and the chips were barely cooked. As a result we sent most of the meal back but what we did eat made us ill and spent most of the evening awake. We cancelled our breakfast for the morning. The staff were lovely and I’m sure it must have been an off day as they were very busy. They also took off the meal from our bill.
A pub with real character!!
Wonderfully clean room, piping hot water for bath or shower. Stunning location. Fabulous food & very welcoming staff. Will definitely go back again.
We didn't stay longer
Large room with comfy bed. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Food was good value with large portions.
A shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries.
The room was cosy & warm. Bed was comfortable. Staff were pleasant and the food was very good.
The bath was slippy when having a shower. Maybe put a shower mat or grips on the bottom of the bath. Everything else was fine.
