Your basic, above average business hotel in Japan.
The hotel is very close and convenient to the JR train station, restaurants and stores to shop.
The last day when I was checking out, I asked the front desk staff if someone could help me, walk to the taxi stand with my luggage. I had 2 suitcase, I carryon and of course my regular bag. It would only take 3-4 minutes from the hotel to taxi stand. I was told NO. Because of the inconvenience and difficulty in walking to the taxi stand by myself, I had her call the taxi to pick me up from the hotel, which there was an extra charge for them to come to the hotel. It would have been nice if they could have spared 3-4 minutes, just to help. Other than that, my stay at the hotel was nice, staff and room cleaners are nice too.
Toilet too small. Room too small, no place to put the bags. No english tv
Breakfast had good choices and the staff were super friendly
The strictness around having to check in at exactly 3pm when we were very jetlagged
This hotel is great if you have a JR pass. It's 15-20 minutes from the airport (great for our 6am arrival) and it is on a JR line (Kamata) so great for getting around all of Tokyo. The staff are really lovely.
We stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of a tour of Japan. The first room (a non smoking room on one side of the hotel) was fine. No smaller than other Japanese hotels. But room 2 (smoking - booked by accident - in a different part of the hotel) was not great. Stained carpets, falling apart furniture. That said, our stay was fine - just luck of the draw.
The Grand Park Hotel Panex Tokyo offers travelers a very easy way to get around the city, since it is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel to JR Kamata Station, getting around the city and the countryside is really easy from the hotel. That said, there are many travelers who arrive to the hotel and immediately fall in love with many of the amenities, including the dining. Dining at the hotel is easy at the 1F Restaurant, there is a breakfast buffet and all-you-can-drink menus, and there are banquet and large gathering menus. The hotel also has a staff that is fluent in English, this is ideal or travelers coming from all places around the world as English is one of the most spoken languages anywhere.
The rooms at the Grand Park Hotel Panex Tokyo are divided between single rooms, semi-double rooms, double rooms, twin rooms, twin deluxe rooms, and triple rooms. The biggest difference between the rooms is the space, while all of the rooms are compact the double rooms are closer to the size that Western travelers are used to, and the triple room is equipped with a sofa bed that makes it easy to sleep three people in the room. All rooms have a desk and access to free Wi-Fi and flat panel televisions.
Staying at the Grand Park Hotel Panex Tokyo is a great way to experience one of Japan’s greatest cities. Between the amenities and the location, this hotel is a great choice for savvy travelers looking to get a great vacation.
