The facilities were great, lots of activities on site, the beach is large with comfortable day beds.
The walls between the room were so thin, we were woken up by our neighbours’ alarm every morning. We could hear every conversation they were having. The service at the restaurant and beach wasn’t great, they often forgot my order. They also allowed non-hotel residents to use their day beds and as a result, all the day beds were taken by mid day.
The food at the restaurant Lo Popular was outstanding, the pulpo confit and tuna tartare were phenomenal.
The floors in our room were filthy, there were huge gaps in the floor boards and I lost several pieces of jewelry that could not be returned because they were underneath our room in the dirt. There was constant noise from other guests and from construction that woke us up at 7 AM every day, yet we received a noise complaint from having netflix playing on our ipad at 7 PM. The staff was hit or miss, some of them were extremely friendly and accommodating, however generally speaking they were unavailable to assist with anything, never gave us a tour of the property so we felt extremely lost the first two days we were there. We had to call housekeeping three times to have them clean our room, which at this point had been two full days before they came and cleaned. My husband and I are also covered head to toe with bites that I suspect are from bed bugs. I would never stay here again, the entire experience was awful.
the hotel makes reconstruction. the works from 7 oclock in the morning to 10 oclock in the evening. the works with metall, very noise, i cant sleep, this works followes you everywhere. this is absolutely unacceptable for the main slogan of the hotel like absolute relax. why they do it in high season? i dont know. this is one of the most expensive hotels in tulum, so i am very disappointed
