I liked Elvira and Giuseppe, they were very helpful and Elvira made sure we had a lovely breakfast. One day we were travelling on the train and they printed off the times ect and were helpful in any way they could be. Their hotel is very quirky, very clean , it isn't possibly what everyone would like but we loved it. We had the junior suite which is the top of a flight of stairs. It has a double bed ,wardrobe, dressing table, table and side tables. A shower ,toilet and bidet. Outside is a lovely wee terrace where you can sit out in privacy. Our room was cleaned every day and ,as I have already said the hotel is spotless. Breakfast consists of an assortment of croissants or cornetto as the Italians call them. Elvira makes the coffee as you like it and is very particular about this. , Orange juice, water. Fresh ham and salami. Bread and butter and flakes , little biscuits and a selection of yogurt. A few more things on the sideboard for you to choose from. the hotel is very near the station and a ten minute walk to the sea front. (for me that is)/ There are lots of lovely shops just down the road and the street there is pedestrianised so nice to browse and the shops up here are much cheaper than on the sea front. On a Thursday there is a mile long market in Viareggio.
there is nothing negative I can say about Le Petite Maison. It is a lovely three star hotel and we had a great week staying there.
We stayed one night at Viareggio. Our purpose was to have a base for taking the train to Cinque Terre. The hotel was quite in the center of the city, clean and quiet. The problem was that we came back in heavy rain and the walking distance from the train station to the nearest Osteria and then back to the hotel was a little bit exhausted. Other than that, the city had nothing to really offer, but it proved a great stop from Florence to Cinque Terre and then to Pisa. Personnel was helpful and polite. We recommend this hotel if you want to have a decent sleep for a night or two.
Dust in the room, plug in sink not working, mini-bar warm, pigeon-hole for keys blocked and got locked out of room when needing the toilet badly. No useful info for local restaurants. Unmanned bar for drinks. Small room, could not be smaller. Info on local taxes indicated after the final price in small writing. Bad stay, will not go back, will not recomend.
Ground floor very attractive. Period features in our room too
No fruit at breakfast
Short walk from train station. Close to the market and not too far from the beach. Room (Tiffany) had a glorious terrace.
No lift, and room was on the top floor.
Just an 8-minute walk from the beach at Viareggio, this charming hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Viareggio Train Station is 450 metres away. Freshly baked local pastries are part of the rich sweet breakfast at La Petite Maison. You can enjoy breakfast in the dining room. With 19th century décor, all guest rooms at Petite Maison come with tiled floors and a TV. Each has a private bathroom complete with slippers, a hairdryer and toiletry set. Some feature a balcony.
