Overview

In the centre of Zagreb, the Best Western Premier Hotel Astoria, Zagreb, Croatia, is a refurbished hotel from 1932 with a quiet, welcoming feel, with smart rooms with fast internet, cable TV and a minibar, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant international cuisine and a generous breakfast buffet, five conference rooms, and free private parking. The main square and the cathedral are a short stroll away, with the shops and cafés of the Lower Town close by. Trams from stops nearby reach every part of the city. Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, a city of old-world fronts and lively café culture between the medieval Upper Town and the grand nineteenth-century Lower Town. A funicular climbs to the old hilltop quarter, where the tiled roof of St Mark's Church and the cathedral's twin spires mark the skyline, the bustle of the main square anchors the centre, and a green horseshoe of parks and museums threads through the Lower Town. Seasonal fairs and a famous Christmas market fill the streets through the year.

Pros (+) Excellent hotel. Very well situated only a couple of blocks from the 'Old Town' and 'Main Square' area. Nicely appointed room with a super comfortable bed. Great buffet breakfast. Free parking in a secure lot behind the hotel. Always had coffee, water and apples in the lobby. Can't do better.
