4.5 Okay
Cons: The safe in the room didn't close. I ask many time for repair but this was never done. Not cool to have to carry valuable all day long.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The food quality and choice were great. The restaurants were very tasty with lovely food. The wine selection and choice was top notch. There was a lot of variety and selections. The hotel felt safe and had security.
Cons: The rooms were small and could use updating. The doorhandle of my bathroom was broken. I had ants in my room. The shower was fairly decent. The service could also be improved. I waited up to 45 mins to have a waiter take my drink order. No one seems to be on their p's and q's. Also, it felt a bit far from the things in town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel is in Plateaux, which it's convenient for meetings. However, there are many other hotels in Plateaux much better than thsi one. Go to Ibis Plateaux, for example
Cons: The staff is unprofessional eg. very rude, slow and unresponsive receptionist when requesting the invoice; it took them 45 min and 3 calls to get the shampoo that the housekeeper forgot to leave in the room; the waiters prefer to talk among themselves for 15 min rather than serving you a coffee... Incredible bad service. The breakfat is not included and it's overpriced (15000 cfas) with very low-quality ingredients.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: And the staff are really cool
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are well equiped. Staff is professional. Location is central in Plateau, Abidjan's downtown. The coffee machine makes very good coffee and it's loaded daily.
Cons: The lobby is crowded but it's due to a big event and to CAF finals..
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were comfortable
Cons: There is too much gold in the lobby. Also the bar seating is totally uncomfortable
5.8 Okay
Pros: I had a SUITE at this hotel. Prior to the booking, I had called to make sure that I will be given a suite overlooking the river. For the first night, it was fully booked, so they promised the suite I wanted from the second night on. I didn't get the suite on the second night as agreed and they never informed me. The team at the front desk including the head of the front desk are not able to solve any crisis. On the first day, I spent 2 hours and a half in my room from 10am to 12.30 waiting to take a shower. No cold water. I called at the front desk many times. They agreed to look into the matter and get back to me every time I called . No recollection, no help whatsoever. I could no longer wait so I went to the front desk and suggested to take a shower in a different room. They couldn't have offered themselves. No Internet access in the room I had either. Not to mention the amenities in the second night.
Cons: I particularly like the breakfast. Set properly, abundance of options for a majority of restrictive diets. Clean, savory... It exceeded my expectation and over all, this is the positive point for the whole duration of my stay.
6.3 Good
Cons: The views are good...
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s very clean and the internet connection was really good.
Cons: It’s a Five-Star hotel with no airport shuttle. That’s really bad The booking page also stayed the room had a Bathtub but it didn’t so that should be changed as well

7.5 Good

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! From the staff to the FOOD—oh, my word, the food!—everything was good. It also has a lovely view of the city/river; everything screams comfort.
Cons: The downside? Everything was expensive! My meals ranged from $25-75. For 4 nights, I spent almost $400.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed, sheets, comforter and pillow were very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to meet my needs.

The hotel’s exceptional meeting facilities include up to 13 meeting rooms, perfect for delegates who need proximity to the airport.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very secure, 5 Minutes from the airport.
Cons: Not so clean, staff not that helpful, water stream in the shower was very weak, only 1 bottle of water in the room and no minibar, the room was really far from the elevator, in general not worth the price..
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is nicely done. There is a crazy amount of security, but I suppose that is because it is not located in a very stable country.
Cons: The hotel is incredibly, over-the-top expensive. It would be high-priced even in Geneva, Switzerland, but for Cote d'Ivoire the price seems ridiculous. The pretty typical breakfast buffet (not included) was priced at 36 USD. To have a salad with dinner also costs about 36 USD. To have a simple load of laundry would cost more than 50 USD. My impression is that almost all of the clientele are airplane crew, and I imagine the airlines have negotiated much cheaper pricing.
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staffs, clean environment.
Cons: The food wasn’t up to par for a hotel of this caliber
7.0 Good
Pros: not a 5 star
Cons: the cost
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location to the Airport is excellent, less 10 minutes walk down along the road; offer a good Airport shuttle too. It is a very quite Hotel in spite the near Location to the Airport. Hotel has everthing you need to wait for the next flight.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, pool was a good size, and fitness center was adequate.
Cons: There were a few frustrating incidents where staff said they would take care of something and didn't follow through.
7.0 Good
Pros: Approving our request for early check out.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast and shower pressure. Blackout curtains too.
Cons: Discriminatory security measures and distance from parking to reception
7.5 Good
Pros: Food
5.5 Okay
Pros: Nice beds and very good breakfast...
Cons: We arrived midnight for business purposes and asked for 4 single rooms. We booked on the spot received booking confirmation but the receptionist refused to give as the rooms. He claimed that booking site was closed at this time and he could not find any confirmation in his system. He did not accept our email (in greek) and wanted us to send it in French. Unfortunately we do not speak French. After 2 hours we managed to get 4 standard rooms (paid in your site for 4 superior).

Pros: This is a very efficient and friendly hotel. They communicated effectively through booking.com and organised everything to our satisfaction. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. We had a fantastic stay! Thank you
Cons: There was a mix-up with the room allocations in the beginning but was quickly sorted out.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: The Azalai is fine, simply. Nothing exceptional about it, everything is just right, which is a good enough reason for any traveler I guess. One word about location, it is really convenient if your business is in Marcory, Bietry, zone 4. It will save a lot of traffic jams.
7.0 Good
Pros: They should improve the wifi connection. Difficlty logging in and it cuts off at anytime.
Cons: Improve wifi connection.

7.5 Good
Pros: It was clean and very well located
Cons: Breakfast was very ordinary
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is nice with wonderful interior design. The room was very comfortable.
Cons: They look to be understaffed, especially at the reception. For this level of premium hotel, they should make sure clients are not waiting to much to have an attentive hear to talk to about their issues.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel for beginning our trip to the interior of Cote Ivoire. It was much better than I anticipated...had everything we needed. Comfortable room, air conditioning, shower, amazing breakfast, pool, bar. The staff was amazing and helpful and spoke English which was helpful for us. Would definitely stay again!

5.8 Okay
Pros: Pool facility, reception personnel, live music, location
Cons: Bad value for money: Small rooms for the price Food and drink prices are unjustified!!! Minimal equipment: no room robe or slippers. Whe i asked they say it was avalable from superior rooms only Several times being asked if i am residing in this hotel at the restaurant or bar without discretion and before any service Many staff were nice and helpful but some others quite unprofessional
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast is very good. Cleaneness is very good. Internet facilities very good. TV programs are too few
8.3 Excellent
Cons: wifi
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is nice. Good location, nice rooms, and good ambiance.
Cons: Folks at the restaurant took a lot of time to respond to any request.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place everything ok
Cons: Nothing to declare
7.0 Good
Pros: It is a friendly hotel, not overly fancy. The location is very good for business and it is nice to be almost on the water. The terrace is pleasant in the evening.
Cons: First, one of the three elevators was on the blink. Service is slow to very slow. I was particularly disturbed by being charged $13 for a glass of very regular white wine (the only one on offer at the bar). Attention to the breakfast buffet is lacking (no more coffee capsules, 20 minutes to bring new scrambled eggs, etc.). and the safe in my room didn't work (batteries dead).
4.5 Okay
Pros: Good location for business. Food good.
Cons: I read the reviews before choosing hotels and the main thing seemed to be that the rooms were old. I figured that was ok, and I had been warned. Still it’s a shame that the hotel does not try harder to make the rooms welcoming. For starters the room smelled damp, given that this is a humid place I figured “fair enough” The bed looked as though someone had recently slept in it and hastily made it. The bedcover seemed old and not so fresh. When I looked under the sheets they looked clean. But clean as though they had been washed by your roommate and not properly ironed. The pillows look like the old pillows you have at home but which, for whatever reason, you don’t get rid of. Still I slept well, the bed was comfortable. Looking around the next day there are small things that the hotel could do to make it feel more welcoming, maybe a welcome note on the bed, a fresh fruit. Also they could change the brochure with the “Room directory” that is set on the table which doesn’t need to be old and used. The towels in the bathroom are worn out, and look like there’s an “N” inscribed on them with a marker (on closer inspection it looks like the “N” was sown). And why is my used towel hanging on the shower curtain rod, why can’t it be on the towel rack?... The bathtub is awkward, with the faucet coming on the side, and the shower hose bending around it, getting in the way. There are two shower head holders. Why not put the faucet behind the bathtub and put the shower head in a more convenient place and on a pole so that I can adjust the height of the shower head? Regarding overall hotel amenities, they are basic, I did not try the gym or the pool, but the reception area and bar are ok if small. The food is good, good variety at the buffet at each meal. I ordered a la carte and it was also quite good. Finally, the internet connection is painfully slow, during my 4 day stay I was barely able to get anything done. To the hotel staff: it’s great that you are renovating on the 6th and 7th floor, but in the meantime, and for the rest of the rooms, please try a little harder…
7.0 Good
Cons: Internet was slow
7.0 Good
Cons: Internet connection not working in room. This is a problem.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast buffet was diversified and upto international standards
Cons: Stereotype rooms with little space
5.8 Okay
Pros: the breakfast was great and the location convenient
Cons: no Spar facilities, my bathroom sink was blocked in the room i used for the last nigh of my stay

8.0 Excellent
Pros: well located
Cons: breakfast
6.8 Good
Pros: The cocktail menu was very good.
Cons: It was very expensive for what it was. The rooms didn't look like the pictures. We got two different rooms, the less expensive one was nicer than the more expensive ones so the prices don't really seem to make sense. The pool closed very early. I had to re-order a cocktail four times because it kept being full of big flies. The cocktail was good when it didn't have big flies in it though.

6.8 Good
Pros: the place is typically a business hotel, good wifi and clean room. there is no facility for anything else. the hotel is located in the middle of a business district and once offices close, outside is like a ghost town, inside the hotel, apart from a good restaurant, there is nothing else to do, no gym, no music, nothing to distract you from work basically, and if you are a person who is believes in unwinding after work, all you can do drink and eat in their reasonably good restaurant.

Grand Hôtel d'Abidjan - Abidjan - Bar
12
7.3 Good (479 reviews)
C$ 145+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Grand Hôtel d'Abidjan places you in the heart of Abidjan, just a 5-minute walk from Central Mosque and within a 5-minute drive of Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
5.0 Okay
Pros: The toiletries.
Cons: Time stood still in (a bad way). The menu in the restaurant was imaginary-only 20% of the options were available. The decor of the restaurant is almost the same as a cheap Chinese buffet. The breakfast was very poor and most items were gone whether we showed up at 6,8 or 9 am The exchange rate for USD was horrible with 10% commission. There’s no pool and that’s clear but the courtyard is very hot and no fans are available. No music or any atmosphere in general.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was very poor in all aspects as far as variety, coffee, bakery, only papaya fruit saved the day. The restaurant is awful and reminds one of stuffy hotel restaurants some 40 years back, especially in former French colonies, where there is a feeling of staff arrogance, disregard for the customer, and not moving forward with the trends, still putting white tablecloths on the tables, waiters in black waistcoats and ties, and the possibly F&B manager sitting behind the breakfast buffet in a suit and looking bored. The room was adequate for sleeping one night, and had good air con, the front office staff on arrival very friendly and cheerful, as was the waitress at dinner time in the bar. The hotel needs modernizing as the location is excellent, but they are missing the plot.
Cons: The Restaurant....terrible bright lighting, intimidating atmosphere, absurdly pretentious, and no diners, not surprising.
6.8 Good
Pros: Juices and breads.
Cons: Breakfast was same for all 5 days we stayed. Hotel should consider changing the menu.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Breakfast Staff Location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Silent , Good breakfast , location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel workers, their good attitude and friendliness.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Internet connection
Cons: Pillows and breakfast
6.8 Good
Pros: It was a good location and calm at night
Cons: i did not like the fact that when I arrived to my room, I did not find any tissues so I requested one. They came back to me telling me that tissues are only provided for free for the suites, after I spoke to the manager, they gave one to me. I mean a 3 star hotel should provide Tissue papers in every room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Courteous and helpful staff
Cons: I saw about 3 little insects in the bathroom. The facility should be fumigated regularly to keep insects away.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The facilities, amenities and overall accommodations were better than expected. The area surrounding the hotel is safe but because we are foreigners we were approached by street vendors and people tend to stare at us a lot. Everyone we spoke to in our area was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The restaurant at the hotel was good but because we were there for two weeks the menu got a little limited. The free breakfast buffet was great and had good variety. There are good, reasonable and expensive restaurants in the area, Salad and Sun was a good restaurant although the neighborhood’s safe, it looked a little sketchy ( you’re not in Kansas anymore) but they have great food, friendly staff and a nice diverse menu. The hotel is within walking distance to a Burger King if all else fails

6.8 Good
Cons: The airco in my room wasn't working properly. So it was very humid and the floor, which was in tiles, was wet all the time, like with damp. Althought I left at some point the window open for 3 hours, the damp did not go away. Note that the shower is in the bedroom, and not in a separate part of the room. So this doesn't help for the damp. So I came back with a suitcase full of humid clothes. Quite disappointing.
