A characterful property and excellent hosts made it a pleasure to stay there. John was very happy to share information on the wildlife in his wonderful wild garden and Lesley cooked a great breakfast. All in all nothing seemed too much trouble. We would willingly return. In fact we tried to extend but it was fully booked. No wonder. It is a special place.
Can’t think of anything.
Welcoming and interesting owners. Good sized bedroom with sunny balcony. Excellent breakfast buffet and/or cooked. Wonderful and extensive grounds with nature walk.Fantails and bell birds amongst others around you. Croquet and boules available. Five minutes walk to the seafront.
wonderful property. beautiful old house, in walking distance of the town. beautiful room, with tons of amenities: expresso maker, coffee, tea, cookies, etc. delightful hosts, who cannot do enough to help and advise. amazing breakfast - over the top. great hiking trails, dolphins and penguin excursions right on the doorstep. and your own 2-acre nature retreat with birds, eels, etc.
Still dreaming about that delicious breakfast. The hosts are absolutely incredible. Already talking to my partner about our next visit.
There is nothing to not like about Blythcliffe.
The property is wonderful, full of history and in magnificent, tucked-away grounds. It's almost impossible to stop taking photos. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and the breakfasts are freshly made and packed with choice. It feels like a place you HAVE to stay at purely for the unique experience. Perfectly located, within a stroll of the main beach, harbour, shops, etc.
Difficult to offer any meaningful criticism. Blythcliffe oozes character so it isn't as pristine as a five-star hotel - but that's part of its charm.
