Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center in Alexandria, Minnesota is a true getaway spot just 100 miles southwest of Fargo, North Dakota and 150 miles northwest of the Twin Cities. With year-round activities including pristine lake views, 18-hole championship golf, and indoor waterpark and phenomenal food, this resort can make the perfect spot for families, weddings, retreats or business meetings.

Guest accommodations can’t be beat at the resort as there is something for any type of group. Independent cottages and townhomes with a variety of bedroom configurations are available as well as an extreme variety of guest rooms in a hotel-type of setting. The list of options is simply too extensive to list here.

The best part for all resort guests is that all resort recreational activities are included with their stay. During the summer this means golf, jet skiing, paddleboats, the full-service marina, volleyball, campfires, and swimming just to get started. Guests will find cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, ice fishing and the warm feel of the indoor waterpark during the winter.

Arrowhead Resort and Conference Center isn’t just about great accommodations and activities. It also offers a wide variety of on-site dining establishments from the Lake Café to the Deck Bar & Grill. Guests looking for some cocktails and hors d’oeuvres can stop by the Rafter’s Lounge. The Big Splash Indoor Waterpark also features the Banana Cabana for guests to refresh and fill themselves up.

Pros (+) I paid for breakfast and it wasn't included. The room was dirty and dusty. The customer service was terrible!

Pros (+) Loved the water park. My 5-year-old nephew was over the moon playing there. The room was spacious, and the food in the on-site restaurant was good.
Cons (-) I stopped by the bar to grab a drink after the water park play and although there were people there, there was no bartender for the longest time. I waited 15-20 minutes for service, but when she did arrive, she was very friendly and competent.
