Pros: great room. friendly staff
Cons: some construction going on.
7.5 Good
Pros: Liked having the kitchenette and the bedroom separated. Shower pressure was amazing!
Cons: Lighting in the whole facility seemed very dim making it feel dark and damp. Would have been nice to have the dishes put away from the dishwasher upon our arrival. Didn’t see the sign they were clean and in there till the 2nd day. Kitchen floor could use a good scrubbing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast lacked a variety, but it was okay. I did like the variety of tea! It was so nice to get to use a conference room for our large group on the first night of our stay.
Cons: More cereal options would be nice for the kids. The eggs were not good. On the second night of our stay, another meeting space would have been great. The lounge area in the lobby and the conference room were in use. We were rather crowded with our large group in someone's room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was not awful. the desk staff were pleasant, if useless. The set up wasn't bad, and I can imagine that if the place were clean, and the staff cared about things like functioning showers, the hotel would be ok.
Cons: The room was dark and very unpleasant. It was dingy, old feeling. In addition, our shower didn't work properly. I reported it to the hotel, but they did nothing to fix it. The whole place smells of chlorine.
6.0 Good
Pros: I love the space in the rooms and the location.
Cons: We have always stayed here and it is normally great, but this time wasn't as good. Our room reaked of the smell of fish! I told the front desk and nothing was done. We were gone most of Saturday and returned to a room that wasn't cleaned! Very disappointed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have a son that attends to ISU so I stay at hotels frequently. I wish i would of tried this hotel a long time ago. The price was perfect. It was clean and so close to the university and shopping. Love the standard free breakfast. I think I was most impressed with the room having a full kitchen!!! A full fridge, stove top, microwave, a dishwasher with dishes in it!! It is perfect for a weekend getaway, or stay for a week. If you travel on a budget like we do, the kitchen will really help with meal planning.
Cons: My only complaint is the room was very warm. i couldnt cool off. So next time I will bring a little fan.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We love the rooms and kitchen area. We feel very at home here.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Basically nothing. Our room was not clean at all.
Cons: Everything. Our room was not clean at all we had switch rooms three times. Every room was dirtier than the last. They stated we were getting an upgrade. The room we got was exactly the same as all the others we were in. There was so much noise. Children screaming and running down the halls. They were banging, and slamming doors. It was a bad experience and I will not be back.

Pros: Thought it was included with our stay. Should have advertised you pay for it.
Cons: Pick up food off the floor in our room. Sausage found on the floor.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was clean.
Cons: The room looked and felt like I was living in a shipping container. The room was damn ugly. There was an echo whenever you talked, again see the shipping container analogy. Could hear everything in the other room. 12.95 breakfast, no thanks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was amazing... best bed I ever slept on in my life. I will purchase a garden series bed in the very near future. They supply quality brand soaps and shampoos/conditioners. They saw I had an issue beyond my control and bent over backwards to help
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast buffet.
Cons: Room door didn’t shut properly without extra effort, so anyone could walk in when we were out of the room. Shower unclean with hair on wall, mirror in closet really dirty. Hot tub wasn’t hot, but they fixed it later.
7.7 Good
Pros: Room size was good. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was pricey, but good.
Cons: We had some questionable stains on the carpet in our room. Thankfully our baby isn't mobile yet, if he was crawling I would have been more upset.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. Every interaction met or exceeded expectations.
Cons: We arrived a bit late & after checking in & freshing up in our room, we returned to the lobby to find the bar closing @ 10:00. We were able to find small bottles of wine in the concession area but were a bit disappointed. However, the woman @ the front desk comped them for us since we had also had to stop & report that our guest room door was unable on be locked when we tried to leave. She also moved us to another room with a fully functioning door lock but that necessitated us having to collect our suitcases, complete the move which caused us to pass the bar’s closing time. She graciously solved our dilemma which is commendable but it seems the housekeeping staff should have discovered that the room was unable to be safely secured.

Pros: Nice place and friendly staff

4.0 Okay
Pros: It was quiet
Cons: The bathroom was filthy, including all the hair on the floor!
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all it smelled of musty water and cigarette smoke.
Cons: We paid a $50 cash deposit because I paid for the room in cash so ($78) so $128 in total. The Gentleman at the from counter told us that the $50 deposit was refundable if there was no damage to the room and that he would be the one inspecting it the next morning and if there was no damage we would get it back. So my wife and I literally were on the hotel 8-9 hours from check in to check out the following morning. Went to the front counter to check out the gentleman had no interest in checking our room so we could get our deposit back he handed me back $7 and told me that the house keeper took the rest of the deposit but couldn’t tell me for what. Keep in mind literally all we did was shower sleep wake up and leave. We didn’t even eat breakfast because there wasn’t much of a selection.

Cons: The shower didnt drain very well.
7.5 Good
Pros: Exceptionally clean.

4.0 Okay
Pros: I guess the breakfast was okay.
Cons: The pool as closed, there as no tea offered, the breakfast could have had more options, the bed was uncomfortable, the fan of the heater kept kicking in and out which lead to very little sleep, the "condiment" packet in the room we open and items removed.

Pros: Location, price, breakfast, pool, pet friendly
Cons: No
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Priced right and in a good location

Pros: The breakfast was a great addition. The room was spacious and the TV was big.
Cons: The indoor pool was clean but small. The bathroom was very small, the door hit the shower curtain and you had to maneuver around the door to get to the toilet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly. Especially the gentleman who was on the desk in the morning during breakfast. He made an extra effort to make sure everyone had what they needed. This is a less expensive hotel but we have paid twice as much for lesser accommodation. I had a King room that was comfortable, quiet and very spacious for the price. I'd definitely stay here again if in Ames.
Cons: If you're visiting the university campus it's best to drove over in winter. But really, this is a tiny issue compared to value and service.

Cons: I love it all. I always stay here. Patel and staff rock!!

Pros: Clean and the staff was pleasant.
Cons: They wanted to charge me $15 Per day per pet so for my two day stay it would’ve been $60 that’s outrageous. They did lower it but it was still $15 per day. Which is very high. They should’ve mentioned that when I booked it.

1.0 Poor
Pros: The shower had good water pressure. The mattress would have been comfortable had the sheets been clean.
Cons: We thought with it being a Baymont it would be nice. The opposite was true. The carpet felt sticky, there were no towels in the room and the sheets did not feel clean. We are pretty confident the sheets had previously been slept in.

9.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing
