Winner of Amerstdam's Entree Award for Best Hotel Concept, Conscious Hotel The Tire Station's sustainable design includes solar panels, green roofs, and underground acquifers. The accessible eateries in the hotel include an "eco-patisserie" and a restaurant that offers 100% organic dishes and drinks.

The 112 air-conditined rooms are decorated in a chic, impish aesthetic, with corkboard accents and hip art and photo choices. The rooms, which are family-friendly, come with free Wi-Fi, plush Dutch Royal Auping beds and bathrooms with winking "Get Naked" signs. Guests can access laundry service on site. On a business trip? Cons (-) Too much to list. Bad staff, early check in ignored, small room, bad value for money, clueless maintenance department. I grew up in Amsterdam and love the city more than anything.
