Thin walls, hard bed, unfriendly front desk staff
Hotel is worn and is showing age-cleaning was average at best. Corners of the bathroom had mold. Breakfast was good if you arrived at least an hour before it closed because they didn't restock items after that. And staff spoke Spanish but should be more careful about how they talk about guests since some guests are bilingual and can understand their negative conversations. Pool had a lifeguard that was not kind to the kids. This was our first stay at a Country Inn and likely our last.
I thought that the staff was wonderful. The hotel over all seemed very clea, up to date and well taken care of. I like the fact that we were able to bring our dog. Another point that I thought was great was that the room that my family stayed was almost like two rooms in one. We stayed in one of thier king suites. It had a king bed in a room that was separate by a door and my children stayed on a pull out couch that was more then big enough for the bothe of them. I have a 17 and a 11 year old so they are not small children. I appreciate the fact that when my husband and I wanted to be alone we were able to just by closing the door but still being in the room. The location of the hotel was not far from the bay bridge so it did not take us long to get to beach like areas. All in all it was a great trip.
The rooms were pretty clean and the only complaint that I may have is that the bathrooms were a little dirty. When we first got into the room thier was hair all over the tub.
Staff was friendly and allowed for a late check out. Shower had good pressure.
This hotel is very dated. AC is extremely loud so if ours turned off we could hear units running from other rooms. Soap was not very soapy! Carpet is old and the room in general is in need of new furniture and paint. No air circulating in the bathroom. Indoor pool is very small. If there was more than my family in the pool it would have been crowded. Also the water seemed clean but it was cloudy, which is usually an indication of chemical imbalance. It was easy to get into town but I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff was wonderful. The breakfast better than most.
They were re-carpeting. I have issues with the smell of the glue. They tried to accommodate me. At one point they even moved my room to another area. It was frustrating as I had booked there for the pool and workout room and could not access them for a number of days because of the glue. I would not have booked there if Had realized they were carpeting.
Rooms were well furnished and comfortable
Breakfast was awful and the lack of ventilation in the baths made no sense.
