Beautiful location right in the heart of Dovedale. Pleasant staff at reception and in the restaurant.
Were there for two nights. The room for the first night was small, quite poky and contained a four poster bed that looked quite nice but was not full size, saggy in the middle and about three feet off the ground. Unfortunately as a couple we are full size and also quite saggy in the middle. To say I had a bad night's sleep would ne inaccurate. I did not sleep at all. Not a wink. It was like lying in a canopied hammock. In the morning I spoke to reception and said that we could not sleep in the same room another night and to be fair to them they were very good about it and changed our room. It did unfortunately spoil our stay however because we were so shattered that we couldn't really enjoy the walking we were so looking forward
