Location was great
Small rooms felt very cramped
This is a hotel that is true to the island. It hasn’t been upgraded beyond necessities and putting it out of price range! It’s perfect to feel like a islander!
I will admit the golf carts reeving up there motors to make it up the hill is kind of loud. But it kind of goes unnoticed after a while
Nancy at the front desk was so nice to us! The Hotel Catalina is a great bargain in Avalon. It is an old hotel but is very clean! The coffee in the morning was awesome! We have stayed in most of the hotels in Avalon and we give this hotel a solid 3 stars, if you're looking for fancy this isn't it but if you want a clean, comfortable room and a great price this is your place!
A bit of a hill to climb but not too bad
breakfast was not good. coffee was good thought. we also had hot chocolate but the rest was hard cookies and flat danishes.
There was not heater, we were freezing. I cant imagine in the summer with no A/C. We could hear everything that was going outside of our room. stomping when people walked by our room. In the morning there was a lot of noise so you are unable to sleep in.
