Overview Reviews
Whether on a business trip or family getaway, come and relax at the Novotel Paris East hotel. Our restaurant and bars welcome you around the clock for meals or light bites. The hotel is the ideal place for successful events thanks to its 33 rooms and conference hall for 600 people. Our spacious rooms are perfect for unwinding after a long day of work or sightseeing. An Escape Game, fitness center and hammam are also available to brighten up your day.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel lobby is very bright and cheerful. A stark contrast to the grim streets outside. The staff who checked us in were able to speak multiple languages which made the whole experience smooth and fast. The beds were very comfortable. You just have to be very careful not to bang your leg off the metal piece of the sofa bed that sticks out awkwardly. The small gym was generally empty which was a nice surprise. Added bonus was the sauna at the back of the gym. Both were spotlessly clean. The room had a small fridge which was useful for keeping a very small amount of food and water in. Bathroom had good water pressure in the shower/bath which was a nice surprise 15 floors up. There is a Carrefour within 15 mins of the hotel and an EXCELLENT sushi restaurant just across the road from the side of the hotel if you do not wish to wait 20 mins.in the hotel cafe. The sushi restaurant also do take-out.
Cons: The lunch staff in the restaurant are not very attentive. We waited in a nearly empty restaurant for 20 mins for 1 of the 3 staff there to take our order. However, when the food came, it was pleasant and edible. We pushed the beds far apart to give us some more floor space in the room. There were dirty mud marks on the carpet which were not cleaned the whole time we were there. In fact, the bed was moved back to cover them! The bar on the ground floor shuts much earlier than advertised. This is not ideal if you return in the evening and would like a nightcap. The heating in the room is set far too high and you cannot open the windows to let the stifling heat out. We turned the heating off and the fan on in an attempt to freshen the air. Not very good for someone with asthma. The area around the hotel is very dirty with a lot of litter on the streets. Although the hotel is advertised as being near Gare du Nord by booking.com, this is only true if the metro is not on strike. If that is the case, it is a €80 taxi trip or 2.5 hours on very crowded buses and trams.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The elevators
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy
Cons: No staff to help us with the luggages
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing to like in this property.
Cons: I booked Triple room with one Double bed and one Sofa bed for 3 adults and one kid, whereas I will be staying with my wife and 11 years old kid and one 2 years and one infant. They refuse to check in with 2 Adult and 3 kids. They ask us to get 2 rooms with making some excuses of insurance etc. How can be they count infant as one more guest? Initially I was staying there for 3 days then I decided for one day only and move to other hotel. They provided 2 rooms with far distance. Since all my kids are small we just stayed in one room only and paid for 2. They charged 217.52 Euro for one day. I Checked In at 8:00 pm and Checked out at 12 pm. The attitude of the staff is very bad and rude as you feel that you are staying for free. Bed is not comfortable at all. Sofa bed is more worst then the double bed. The bathroom door handle is broken. This is the old hotel with some renovation only. This hotel is worst then 2 stars. If you are planning to go with family I strongly recommend NOT to stay in this hotel. This is my mistake of taking this hotel even after reviewing so many bad reviews.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Fancy hotel Lobby. Smart TV in the room which meant I could connect my phone to it and watch my own programmes.
Cons: Had the worst ever check-in experience, they couldn't even find my booking and it took close to half an hour of being stood at the front desk for them to realise that they received the booking from booking.com but hadn't put it into their system. The room itself was dated and is in dire need of a makeover. There were sticky patches all over the heavily stained carpet scattered throughout the room which I would step in frequently. The bathroom stink smelt like raw sewage. I've stayed at almost all of the Novotels in Paris and I'm really impressed with the high standard and value for money but this hotel sadly let's that reputation down. The Novotel which is literally a 10 minute walk from this one far surpasses it and is often much cheaper.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good transport links nearby, hotel lobby area nice
Cons: Rip off restaurant, 12th floor we were on being refurbished around us, local area down at heel
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely cleaners
Cons: Room temperature, unable to regulate, too cold or too hot most of the time Bar staff not nice

This hotel has 50 square feet (5 square meters) of space consisting of a conference center and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary at scheduled times.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was helpful. Check-in was open one hour early, due to earlier arrivals and expedited to allay closeness in the lobby.
Cons: Near enough to CDG. Shuttle shut down for several hours was not helpful. Had to take a taxi to get there during that time period. Difficult to understand where exactly to find the 'free' shuttle. Due to pandemic no food available in the area. Vending machine fare was uninspiring.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Toilets should be renewed as well as room furnitures Room corners should be cleaned from dust.i have to be also fair saying that may be something has been forgotten due to covid19 restrictions
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: There were no towels in the room, the receptionist was very unprofessional, I had booked the free shuttle and I had to call them 4 times so I can find out where the pick up location is. They didn’t help me at all, he even shut the phone at some point and in the end I had to take an Uber. When I got there I could barely hear what he was saying and he looked so bored and all the time he kept his head down. Bad facilities with inner noises also. Very bad service in general. I wouldn’t recommend
7.0 Good
Pros: This was during the Cover-19 period. Measures were in place but all in all the service was appropriate. My stay was comfortable and clean. Beds are really good btw. and so are the showers. Very strong showers!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent and were so so helpful to my brother ...I have to say a credit the staff were in this hotel from the very beginning to the end
Cons: Very little
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Affordable , Nice and clean, continental breakfast is great!
Cons: Everything
4.0 Okay
Pros: The concierge was friendly and helpful and so was the other staff.
Cons: Very small, dumpy place. The shower was 1/2 m2. The bed filled up the room 70%. The Comfort hotels in the US are mid level price and convenience. This was far, far below that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Free airport shuttle and friendly staff
Cons: Lack of resturants in area
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is nearby CDH and has free shuttle to/from airport
Cons: The shuttle bus runs on specific hours only and has some short (1 hour) breaks in the morning/evening, and 1 long break (12:30 - 16:00). So if you plan to use it: plan accordingly. The shuttle bus leaves from CDG area between 2D and 2E terminals: rather confusing to find. Do not go to terminal 3. The hotel charge additionally some municipality tax: 1,8 eur. I paid it by cash: gave 10 eur. Later I have discovered they gave me change in coins, which were not all in euros: some coins was in Zlots!! Somebody tried to enter my room twice during my stay: in the evening and an around 2 AM at night: I tried to call to reception: they did not pick up the phone. So lock your room! The room is very old, needs renovation. Bathroom is very very small.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: The Restaurant was closed under construction and I didn’t t know that before booking. Since it’s by the CDG Airport it’s very far from paris(city) and I had to take the RER B TRAIN to go find decent food. Also the shuttle is not 24/7(
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The price
Cons: Ac didn't work, which front desk tried to lie about, room needed serious maintenance, I couldnt even call the shower a real shower, airport shuttle only took 5 people & 14 were waiting for a ride, ended up paying for Uber anyways, no food aroun
1.0 Poor
Cons: The hotel staff were not experienced and it was taking a whyfor them to check the guests in. They also were rude on interacting with people. Overall the customer service was not good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff was very helpful and the location is perfect.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was overpriced and the employees there were very rude. One of the days we came four minutes late and they would not seat us even though the food was still out and many other people were in the restaurant eating.
7.0 Good
Pros: Curtains were pretty dark, almost blackout. Nice shower. Nice Lifts. Good location near Eiffel Tower.
Cons: Toilet should have been in the same room as the bathroom. Woke up by roadworks on one morning. Told mini bar was free which it was, but it only had a minimal selection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, right outside the Eiffel Tower. And the staff were really good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were celebrating a birthday , we had 8 in our group the hotel is in a great spot 2 mins from Eiffel Tower. The staff at the hotel were excellent and nothing was too much trouble to accommodate us , we even arranged a birthday cake last minute!
Cons: The rooms were comfortable but we didn’t like separate toilet and bath.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Strange Smell and room condition was not good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room. Excellent location of the hotel, some 50m away from Eiffel Tower.
Cons: The breakfast buffet is rather poor and €20 per person for breakfast is not worthy. Pullman Hotel next door charges €30 for breakfast per person and the buffet is rich and very good quality. The hotel bar and reception areas are very basic and uncomfortable. Reception staff was polite, breakfast reception staff was rather impolite, none speak English and communication was cumbersome. Cleaners remove soap and towels every day although the hotel claims “green and nature oriented” policy. We saw a rat running over the grounds just by the hotel entrance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and attentive staff
Cons: Waited 20mins for a taxi on departure, which did not arrive
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing and just a couple small blocks from the Eiffel Tower. 2 Metro stops are also a short walking distance away. The shower is incredible.
Cons: The room is a bit small. We just needed it to sleep and shower though so it was fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, with a view on Eiffel tower from my room, very friendly personnel, excellent breakfast...just perfect!
4.0 Okay
Pros: the location its very close to the Eiffel tower and the train.
Cons: the flat pillow, very small bathroom, separate toilet closet.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom is too small.
Generator Paris - Paris - Bedroom

7.8 Good (12,660 reviews)
C$ 170+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Generator Paris in Paris (Paris City Center), you'll be a 3-minute walk from Canal Saint-Martin and 15 minutes by foot from Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived quite late and it was easy to check in.
Cons: It is a locker to leave a luggage so it generates extra cost.
7.4 Good
Pros: The design and cleanliness are superb.
Cons: Location is not great. 30 minutes metro, or 18 euro taxi minimum from anywhere i wanted to be. Had problems with inhospitable and rude staff. Roof is closed for the 'season' for renovations, and i booked this hotel for the roof.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Has everything you need. Location was great. Room was fantastic, huge balcony. Awesome view from bar. Great staff.
Cons: Beds were not comfortable, springs dig into your ribs or back. Food & drink abit expensive
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like Generator because it still accepted guests unlike other hotels which cancelled my reservation due to Corona virus. So clearly it was not my first choice. However, I still enjoyed staying there as it's close to Colonel Fabien Metro station and there're open stores and pizza and burger restaurants opposite the hotel (not easy to find ones during this time)
Cons: The room I chose was the 8 bed dormitory. The room's not that spacious for 8 beds.
7.0 Good
Pros: The most important things: cleanliness (maybe the best hostel you can stay in), great showers, nice breakfast, good ambience, etc.
Cons: The only point I didn't enjoyed about the Generator is that, compared to the Generator Miami, this has less common areas to stay calm without thinking in the schedule rules.
7.4 Good
Pros: Generator Paris is new and nice and very clean and has an energetic design. I stayed there with my 17 year old niece and her friend and wanted them to be somewhere fun and full of interesting international people that start in their age range. The food was good and the dining area was a great common area for hanging out.
Cons: I wish towels were included in the room and didn’t have to be rented. There should also be soap available even if it’s to purchase. Maybe a vending machine with some toiletries in it?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were really clean, linen crispy white, fashionable, the size of the lockers
Cons: €5 to rent a towel
5.0 Okay
Pros: As an old friend from the Generator Miami, the Paris one was at the level I expected (without comparing with the Miami one). The staff was nice and the cleaniness as the Generator levels. Cannot enjoy the rest of the place due the COVID-19 restrictions. I came at Generator the day when the quarantine begin so things went weird for everyone. They handled the situation the best they could.
Cons: The common areas weren't enough and they rapidly created a dark ambience when they let the guess stay close inside the rooms. The hostel became absolute depressive in only 12 hours. Completely silence, no lights enough, the building almost empty and the few guest closed in the rooms in the darkness (the sky turned very dark those days). The situation made me so nervous because I didn't wanted to stay there as a prisoner, and a couple of weird situations happened and I didn't like it (I prefer not to tell it in here because I understand that the staff was living in the same uncertainty as us). I would appreciated more humanity and some kind detail to the guests that day. Just this :-)

7.0 Good
Pros: Good location, clean rooms with some necessary goods
Cons: Construction site right behind the window, main entry door poorly opens, sometimes there is no one behind the reception desk, the lift is quite small and pretty busy at certain times of a day
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, but it's heritage should be underlined, and now is not. It could be amazing boutique heritage hotel. Try to do it!
Cons: lack of soul ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Place, city, staff, neighborhood, restaurants, cleaning, main train station was near by, 3 min walk, thanks a lot again for the especial thanx to the Reception Mamadon or mohmadon I don’t remember he’s name good but this guy it’s was a super resection guy who was working night❤️
Cons: Nothing that I didn’t like, everything was perfect
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to the Lyon train station is a big plus, the hotel in general is very clean and the decoration is charming. The front desk staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable and the room size for 3 persons is good. The amenities in the room are great: Nespresso coffee maker, water, small fridge, and the toiletries are of good quality.
Cons: The only thing we did not like at all is that the restroom door is made out of glass and is pretty see through!! There is no privacy!! We had to place a towel on the door railing for privacy and my son even turned off the light when he was taking a shower!! I recommend that a curtain is put in place to cover the glass door!! Specially when the door is in a diagonal position facing the bed. I was laying down in bed and could see my son's silhouette in the restroom!! This alone would keep me from staying at this hotel again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good room with modern bathroom and usb power slots. Great breakfasts.
Cons: Neighborhood a little seedy. Farther from central Paris sites than I thought.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay and the staff went above and beyond. Upgraded our room and let us delay our checkout considering the Coronavirus situation. Great location. Thanks again.

7.1 Good
Pros: When we arrived the staff greeted us nicely. They also provide games that we can borrow and play in the room. The lobby is quite spacious and it sells a variety of snacks & drinks. Our room is a tandem room that provides one double bed and 2 single beds. Overall is OK.
Cons: We didn’t know that our booking wasn’t inclusive of hotel towels. We need to pay €3 for each towel. The location is a bit of a walk to the nearest public transportation. The light in the room is a bit dim.
6.2 Good
Pros: Room was super comfortable and cool. Definitely recommend getting one with private bathroom.
Cons: The wifi was spotty throughout our stay. The air conditioner was supposed to be “automatic” and never turned on. Tried talking to hotel staff multiple times and of course the right person to fix it wasn’t there. Other guest complained about the heat too. hotel staff did nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, service and hospitality
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding location for viewing the Eiffel Tower, however we found that there was little else around this area for tourists. Room was a good size, immaculately presented, modern and nicely furnished. It was my Daughters birthday the day before our arrival and staff decorated the room with balloons and left a lovely card and gift for the occasion- a very nice touch! staff were very helpful, although aside from check in, we didn’t require any assistance! If you want to stay in close proximity to the Eiffel Tower and enjoy peace and tranquility following a busy day exploring the city - this is the hotel for you!!
Cons: We absolutely loved the property, but after visiting other districts in Paris- we found the hotel a little quiet and lacking some of the atmosphere in other more vibrant parts of Paris.

Cons: Checkout is slow

Cons: Shower was broken
7.0 Good
Pros: The view and location as well as our room was ready in the morning when we arrived.
Cons: The annoying sound when the tv gave us a message and then wouldn't load.
7.0 Good
Pros: The second time we stayed there they provided a king bed and we ordered room service and the food was amazing.
Cons: We stayed there twice on this past trip. I do not blame the hotel but we flew out of New York all night and when we wanted to check in all they had was twin beds for us ready. I realize today, I will never take a twin bed versus a king.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful and polite, the hotel was close to restaurants and a supermarket across the street. Felt safe with the secure door and the window shutter
Cons: There was no kettle, an immensely loud alarm went off early in the morning, there was no hot water from the sink when I wanted to shave. The walls were thin and one could easily hear neighbouring guests
1.0 Poor
Pros: I didn’t like anything
Cons: Everything! Everything was dirty, old and with terrible smell. The staff were very arrogant, specially MOUNA. A very disrespectful woman, that said she didn’t speak English and started to speak in french with the rest of the staff. Unfortunately for her I understand french and heard she called me shitty client, and told me to go f*ck myself.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast included. Handy for the exhibition centre with shuttle drop off for 7 Euros The Campanile was good for dinner which is next door.
Cons: Prison style room, pod bathroom, very noisy due to lack of soundproofing. No Lift so I had to carry luggage up two flights. It's almost a metal shell not unlike a container, so very cold! Fine for one night stays but not beyond! It is simply somewhere to crash but way overpriced for that!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Close to exposition location
Cons: Nothing - really horrible from a bad roadtrip movie where somebody will be murdered....
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Shower a little small
7.0 Good
Pros: Was not far from the airport
Cons: I got mixed up with the other hotel Villepint and had to go through the parc des expos at night . Really sketchy situation
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was very friendly, and I was greeted with a nice welcome and I was sent off with a nice good-bye.
Cons: I was very upset because this was advertised on Kayak as having an airport shuttle. They do not have an airport shuttle. The staff suggested getting myself a taxi, but I decided to go with Uber since it was cheaper. I still paid over €30 both ways to get an Uber to and from the airport. I booked his solely for the airport shuttle and I did not get it, and I was very upset.

Pros: Fantastic experience. Staff could not have been more friendly or attentive. Location right near the Metro and Marais district. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Selection at breakfast fantastic.

Pros: Central location, very clean, good value.
Cons: Cleaning and front desk staff very courteous for the most part. Hotel employee  were especially friendly and helpful at receptionat the concierge desk was terse, impatient and condescending.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent! Walking distance to the Louvre, Metro station right outside. Felt like a safe neighborhood. The staff was very nice and helpful. Regular bed very comfortable. Generous with towels and toiletries.
Cons: Shower wall was transparent even with the frosted feature turned on!! Makes for an awkward situation if you're not sharing a room with only your spouse. Sofa pull out bed was very uncomfortable. Room size was very small.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and access to metro
Cons: Showers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect! Right in front of the metro station (one stop from Paris North). Also located a walking distance to Louvre Museum (about 15 minutes walking)! The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The employees are super friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with the room and it was fixed right away! Excellent breakfast! When I go back to Paris I will definitely stay there!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, best continental breakfast EVER. The juicer with the fruits and veggies were clutch. Perfect location literally steps from the metro. The pictures look exactly the same as in real life which never happens. Very secure, you have to enter the hotel’s main entrance with a key card after business hours.
Cons: Watch out for that city tax, and make sure you add anyone on your reservation when you originally book. I booked a “2 person” room and when I came with someone they charged me extra for that person since they thought I was alone. Not a fun surprise. I thought this had a an airport shuttle as well, but it cost 90 euro per person. Better off taking the metro.
8.5 Excellent
Cons: The bed could be better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful in meeting our needs
Cons: No
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in the heart of Paris. As we only had one day in Paris, we didn't get to stay in the room/hotel to have a full appreciation of the hotel.
Cons: Room was looking out to the inner courtyard and the view was mainly a big wall. Given the location, they couldn't have done any more to improve. Friendly staff, but the check out process could have been smoother as the queue did not move very fast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: ‘Short but sweet’ stay for our sons 9th Birthday. Excellent all round! Would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if returning to Paris. From check in to check out there was nothing to fault. Thanks again for the birthday treat on check out!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall help with taxis, dinner reservations, comfort of the room, location close to exciting parts of Paris, extremely helpful staff. Also, the size of the room, relative to other Paris hotels, is superior. A nice, professional, contemporary hotel with a first-class staff and great attention to detail.

Pros: The staff absolutely friendly and accommodating in the middle of a country shut down. Well done. Excellent Wifi and the position right opposite the metro.
