Overview
The Bar Harbor Grand Hotel sits in the heart of the charming and historic seaside village. It is just a few short miles from Acadia National Park and attractions like the Kebo Valley Golf Course. Visitors might easily walk to such sites as the charming Village Green and the downtown area with its shops, restaurants and waterfront attractions. The Great Meadow Walk is also close by, as is Frenchman Bay, Thunder Hole and no visit is complete without a sunrise at the top of Cadillac Mountain.
This beautiful hotel was built as a replica of the historic Rodick House that once stood in town, and it has a truly authentic appearance with loads of old-fashioned charm. And while it looks very antiquated, it has a long list of modern amenities that most visitors gladly welcome. There is an enormous pool area with sun deck, a fully-furnished fitness center, an onsite gift shop, the famous front porch where morning coffee and tea are served, the enormous continental breakfasts are served each day, and there is also a hot tub outdoors. There is free parking and free Wi-Fi, a business service center, and a game and movie library.
The rooms are all quite luxurious and range from queen and king rooms to suites. All are decorated in a style in tune with the vintage look of the property. They have separate sitting areas, marble bathrooms, with signature toiletries, premium bedding, entertainment systems with DVD players, voicemail, climate controls, hot beverage systems, and mini-fridges.
