Great location close to bus stops and sights
Room was very small
My room (number 9) was quite spacious and had a lovely little balcony that looked out to the main road. The room was modern and quite minimalist, complemented perfectly with pretty tiles on the floor. The bathroom was small but clean and modern. There was a bottle of water provided in the room which was a nice touch. In the common area, by the reception, there were cookies and tea/coffee making facilities plus a supply of clean hot and cold water. In the morning there were also individually packaged muffins and cakes, which I thoroughly enjoyed with a cup of green tea. Reception staff was welcoming and friendly. They also kept my suitcase safe while I was out exploring.
The place was NOT soundproof. I caught a cold while in Barcelona and wanted to sleep in but, because my room is right next to the reception, I was awoken many times. I could also hear the room next to me and some traffic noises. There were two steep steps that lead to the bathroom which could be a problem for some people (especially coming out of the bathroom and having to go down 2 steps). I slept with the balcony door shut because it didn’t feel safe to have them open for fresh air - the balconies on either sides were very close and it would’ve been easy to climb over. I think there was central aircon in the room which did not help my cold. O didn’t see a switch to turn it off in my room but I probably should’ve asked the reception if they could turn it off.
We should of asked to see the room before we took it,because the room was very small and the bed was small and not comfortable.
Central & close to the locations we wanted to visit
Some cooking smells coming up from Indian restaurant next door
Great location, very nice, friendly and helpful attendant.
No natural light and difficult to find.
With a stay at Ecozentric in Barcelona (Eixample), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Rambla de Catalunya and University of Barcelona. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
