Pros: This is a great location, right on the beach and in the heart of town. My room was beautiful and large and included a refrigerator and a small safe. The hotel is beautifully decorated with tropical plants and Talavera pottery.

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice layout, gardens and pool area. Overall great stay, and will come again.
Cons: Needs more umbrellas for shade and something on the beach would be nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully landscaped and decorated property! Very clean. Loved the terrace with it's gorgeous view, unimpeded by bars or glass. Comfy lounges. Great location.
Cons: The mattresses were super hard, and the property could use a few shade umbrellas by the lounges.
7.9 Good
Cons: They need to improve the cleaning!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The a/c keeps the room cool which is nice on the hot days. The pool is great and you get a nice view to the ocean
Cons: The beds and the pillows were too hard and uncomfortable for me and if you get a room on the second floor be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. If you're a coffee lover you're going to be disappointed with the coffee from your room

5.4 Okay
Pros: I like the the room cleanness and the personal attention
Cons: I expected a better menu at the restaurant, with seafood. The pool cleaning needs more attention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were comfortable. The pool was great and perfect temperature.
Cons: I'm not a fan of buffet breakfasts . I would rather have the option of ordering off the menu .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff was awesome and very helpful no complaints
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got king bed with a great view to the pool. WIFI AVAILABLE ALL OVER THE PLACE. Big plus. My two concerns the rooms should have a mini fridge. My husband is diabetic. Insulin have to be in a cool place. The staff was very accomodated and offer to put them in the kitchen fridge. The biggest problem when we checked out, we forgot them and remember at the airport in Manzanillo. Call Nayeli Front Manager She was amazing when we were there and offer to send them to us in Mexico City at my brothers place. The second issue. TV does not have channels in English, and that is annoying when my husband and English speaking people do not understand the native language. Staff was super. Big place to Nayekli0 and Guillermo at the Front Desk and Cesar and his staff at the restaurant. Another big plus to Helena and Yadira kept our room so clean all the time.
7.5 Good
Cons: The Cartel connection with Isla Navidad Grand Bay property. Please keep it safe
7.7 Good
Pros: El personal es muy amable y es muy cómodo para descansar.
Cons: El kids club no está en funcionamiento y la comida tiene muy poca variedad.
7.9 Good
Pros: The beds were more comfortable than many found in Mexican hotels. The pool was excellent. The breakfast buffet offered a lot of choice. The hotel accepts credit cards unlike many others in this part of Jalisco. Nice grounds, well tended. Nice safe in the room.
Cons: No ice bucket or ice machine, or mini-fridge. No good place to hang up wet swimsuits. Dinner not available until 7:30pm, so we always went somewhere else.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the canals in Barra. You can walk to town if you like. Rooms have been updated, new shower, closet, good safe. Only missing a mini refrigerator. It was a great stopover on our drive to Manzanillo.
Cons: Mini refrigerator in the room and packs of coffee to go with the machine in the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It is very clean, well located next to the canal where water taxi's were available with just a call from the front desk. This is our second stay and we had a great time both times!
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice rooms, beautiful pool area.
Cons: Rooms need refrigerators and wifi did not always work.

Cons: There was construction going on that was a bit loud
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location and cleanliness !
Cons: There was really nothing that we did not like ! Everything was good !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pool over looking the beach, very good air conditioner, great view of the sunset, we had a great time there. Didn't really experienced any issues, except the bathroom had a drainer smell, I would recommend it and for sure be back in the future
7.9 Good
Pros: The proximity to the malecon and many restaurants. There is a bar with good drinks and a restaurant for food. It was convenient when needing a snack as it was near the pool and bar area. The food was fairly good for bar food and we enjoyed a pizza and some nachos which were fairly good.
Cons: One room we rented, a studio, needed some repairs. It was a little run down but the room was clean. The other room, a one bedroom suite, was very nice. There was some issues with the air conditioning that was finally resolved. The pool was a little small for so many guests but we were able to enjoy one evening without having to fend off the kids. Lol! We spent two days there but were gone during the daytime sightseeing and were only there in the late afternoon or early evening for a drink, take a quick dip in the pool and to visit with friends. All in all we had a nice stay.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Cleanest, nicest and best located property in Barra and a great value. The staff is wonderful!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Bogavante was in an excellent location. It was fairly quiet, the room spacious and clean. The Happy Hour and music nights were an unexpected pleasure.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room and hooks or towel rack in the bathroom for towels to dry. The shower rod is not strong enough to support wet towels.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Incredible beachfront view from balcony. Close to restaurants, shops, beach. Lovely clean pool. Lovely bright and clean room and bathroom. Good food and coffee. Reasonable price.
Cons: The pillows are quite terrible! Like bags of cement mix. No elevator. Beach is beautiful but very dangerous for swimming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool and view. Rooms were spacious and spotless.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: small, clean, well located. great ocean views.
Cons: lighting. I know they use LED bulbs but it would be so much better if they used ones that are a very warm LED. Also they used motion detection sensors to turn on light in halls and stairways. I understand power is expensive but they should be at least half lit. The sensors were slow to kick in so there are real risks to walking around in the dark waiting for the lights to kick in.

Pros: Ocean view
Cons: All good
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pool and view of ocean was amazing! My kids had a great time at the ocean and pool. Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect, very short walk to many restaurants and shops.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: View of the ocean
Cons: No fridge and no elevator
7.1 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable & the room was clean. The air conditioning was great! we could control it & had no issues throughout our stay.
Cons: It could have been better. One towel was already dirty and besides that, the towels were very rough. Also, when booking it doesn’t say that the pool is separated from the hotel itself, which isn’t bad but it takes up more time. If we knew we could have booked a room on the side of the hotel where you go down stairs for the pool, we would have.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The afternoon receptionist was friendly and helpful. We liked the pool area and beach access. We did appreciate the installation of a fridge in our room on our request.
Cons: We didn’t like the checkin and checkout experience. The staff were, cold, unwelcoming and unappreciative. We were disappointed that our room was located in a building across the street from the beach with no sea view. The website pictures gave us false expectations. The elevator was out of commission and the restaurant closed. The decor was shabby and dated. Unworthy of a 4 star rating.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Room clean
Cons: Staff just doesn’t care... terrible service won’t come back again. Elevator out of service. I requested a safe box twice Could never get a safe box at front desk because manager would take master key home. I requested an iron at 11 am front desk replied they were going to check if bell boy had arrived yet. Apparently not because I never got it. I ended up going down to get it. I booked for 7 nights we only stayed 3 and left. It was just really bad. Don’t waist your money here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great! awesome pool!
Cons: The elevator was the only downside of our stay, my husband was trapped in it but they were able to fix it and get him out asap.. but it was ok because i enjoyed walking up stairs and needed to walk the food off haha.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A
Cons: Beach. Not a fault of the hotel but the beach is steep and difficult to walk on

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Its family run and they are a wonderful family. The place is very clean and very safe. Its conveniently located so we could walk everywhere. The pool was fun and clean. We had the 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family. I loved waking up and having coffee on the balcony with my sister while we watched the boats and birds in the lagoon. A great way to start the day! I also love the Mexican music that played from outside
Cons: We stayed in the third floor and there are no elevators. We liked that but if you have mobility issues stay on the 1st floor. Also, no air conditioning but the fans worked great and it was fine.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Owner was friendly, pool was decent, room was spacious.
Cons: Blimey, where to start? No aircon, just an ancient fan that was useless in the heat. Shower was a dribble, and no shampoo was provided. When I arrived, there was a twist of sh*t-stained used toilet paper on the bathroom floor and the top sheet had a birdsh*t on it. There was a lot of noise from barking dogs. There was no remote for the TV. Finally, the main light was low over the bed, and you’re likely to smack your head on it if you sit up.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, close to everything, great view of an up and coming town, great people, awesome little pool, beer on the terrace....I could go on and on.
Cons: Fan blew as hard as any I’ve ever seen but top floor room was hot in July...but that’s to be expected.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location just down from the Malecon, a nice low-key place with fab pool to land in at the end of a hot day. Gorgeous view of the lagoon from balcony. Mari was so welcoming, and went over and above usual expectations of accommodation hosts: I was ill on first day and she took such lovely care of me, made me rice and herbal tea. We just were not used to the 33c heat, but that's what you get on the coast in July!! We liked everything about the hotel, the pool, the view, the safety of the streets at night.Wonderful.
Cons: We liked everything! Just worth saying that if you are coming from northern Europe and not used to extreme & humid heat, then consider if you can survive hot rooms with fans! We knew this was an Eco hotel and that was an appeal to us. There was a great family atmosphere, lots of Mexican families with kids all having a great time here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pool area, great managers, room pretty basic.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is excellent
Cons: There’s no AC!!! The showers are tiny and so old!!! Rooms are extremely crowded. The pool closes at 9pm and opens late too.

6.7 Good
Pros: Air conditioned. Nice pool
Cons: Did not have refrigerator as advertised
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Towels were hard to get. I asked 3 times, the staff acted like I was joking. I had to get angry before we got towels. I asked for coffee and was told to bring my own. I asked where I could get coffee, the clerk shrugged and waved her arm towards the door. I speak Spanish, my wife and our friends are Mexican so no language problems. These people are just complacent. We have stayed at better properties for a much better price.

Pros: Kitchen access. Wonderful staff. AC. Proximity to town and beach.
Cons: The bed was a little hard.
