Pros: the room was fine in every way
Cons: the restaurant was appallingly bad. We were wanting to have a nice dinner with a good choice of food cooked by a chef and not a very poor selection of ready cooked meals that needed to be heated up in a microwave - we have never experienced this in a hotel like the Alt in our whole lives that has involved a huge amounnt of travel

Pros: Easy access to the airport over the skyway is the number one feature of this hotel. Staff were very helpful, and the little bar/snack bar was perfect for our needs.
Cons: We found the room a bit too minimalist. No bedside table on the far side, and we didn't find the coffeemaker which was tucked around the corner. We found it quite expensive. Itwas, however, clean and functional, and did the job for a quick overnight stay.

Cons: The cafe was pricey.

Having stayed at Alt Hotel in Montreal myself, I knew that this hotel at the Halifax airport location would be a good choice for my son and it looks like I was right!

Pros: We loved the location and also comfort of our rooms. Kids and even adults loved the slide and pool.

We couldn't go to restaurant because we had to order something to be eligible to sit that area. we couldn't sit in the bar area because my daughter was with me. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: We opted for a handicap room because of the good price , so this room was extra spacious. Loved The Triangle nearby. Loved the ability to go down to the boardwalk on the spur of a moment. Easy to find. Good quality seating in room.
Cons: We liked that we never heard our neighbors, the elevator, the laundry machines, so concluded the Hollis was well insulated. But too much traffic noise on third floor and I would have chosen a room on s higher floor if I had known that.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location to walk around was quite nice, I did appreciate the umbrella in the suite.
Cons: I felt that the overall fee for the room was slightly higher than required for one evening and I think a few non feather bed pillows are an important addition for those who may want the option.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, room overlooked the harbour, clean and modern, friendly staff.
Cons: Outdoor parking was available but very crowded
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was absolutely fabulous. The staff were friendly but must have been fairly new. Laundry was easy to use. Breakfast was good.
Cons: The accessible room was actually a joke. Only one bar in the shower. The table to eat on was a high barstool type so my daughters face came below the top of table. She asked if they put a high table just to make handicapped people feel bad. Which was unfortunate. Room service only for breakfast. Trucks driving by all night made it a bit noisy.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good cookies on arrival! Spacious room. Centrally located. Convenient parking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room, location, guest laundry
Cons: Parking, which is across the street and gets full very quickly. In my opinion, the hotel should not charge guests for such poor parking facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and convenient, great location, good elevators, Best shower ever with good water pressure!
Cons: Maybe the only thing that was not perfect was the breakfast selection and the staff hospitality (at breakfast).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was nice and very comfortable, the only issue is the parking is a bit of a pain :) Staff were great and I will definitely stay here again for sure.
Cons: As I mentioned the parking was a bit of a pain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Area was perfect for what we needed. A lot of restaurants in the area and very close to the farmers market and waterfront.
Cons: I found the "kitchen" area very dark and poorly lit. The shower exhaust didn't work which made concerns to where the steam is going. The rain head shower wasn't properly connected to the ceiling. The heater/ac only worked in one room and didn't work for the other room. None of these were a deal breaker for staying there; just renovating/maintenance issues which were easy fixes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and nice rooms
Cons: everything was good
4.0 Okay
Pros: King bed and location
Cons: Smell of room. I was offered a room 30$ cheaper

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was actually not too bad, as we were walking distance from a lot of stuff.
Cons: The room was the size of a crack jack box! I have never seen such a tiny room!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The only thing good about this place is location.
Cons: First of all, Staffs at front desk were pretty rude to us from the very beginning. That's okay until i found out that I asked for the parking, they didn't even acknowledge me how to access to the parking lot. Of course they didn't feel like I need to know one of the cards they gave me was for parking neither. I had to go back to the front desk to ask them and finally somebody told me about that. Second thing, they charged me $200 extra which was not showing in the receipt. After I checked my mobile banking, i had to go back ask for the refund which I felt very frustrated because we had a tight schedule that day. Thirdly, the plug on the desk which connect coffee machine, kettle and a table lamp was not working, which caused us lots of unnecessary trouble.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location (across from Public Gardens and Pete's Fine Foods behind), restaurant and restaurant staff, parking convenience, and automatic opening doors
Cons: Step down in room and no night light in bathroom
4.0 Okay
Cons: The room was very small and very loud. The bed was only a double. It was not as close to the downtown area we are used to. Parking was very expensive so we did not use it . There was a fridge, which is the only positive thing I can say, but no microwave.
7.1 Good

Pros: This was lovely hotel -- beautiful lobby, large rooms, huge, fluffy towels, and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Great location in the heart of Halifax, across from the public gardens. I did pay for parking in the heated garage, but the parking was good until 5:00 p.m., so I was able to explore the area without having to find other parking.
Cons: It was a perfect stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location. Walking distance to boardwalk.

Pros: Really friendly ambience. The beds we seriously comfortable. Staff were very professional and attentive. Very centrally locates.

Pros: Location was excellent. Beautiful park across the street and within walking distance to harbour front. If you didn't want to walk to habour front, bus stop was also just across the street. Restaurant on-site was very good. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Was not expecting to have a small studio apartment bonus! Small fully functional kitchen, living room, bedroom! Perfect location to everything at the waterfront!
Cons: There was nothing I did not like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved having a kitchen in the suite. Instead of eating out everyday we were able to do some cooking in our suite. The complimentary hot breakfast was quite tasty and it gets changed up so you're not eating the same thing every day. We were able to walk to all of the major attractions in Halifax. Staff were very friendly. The gym was clean and had lots of space.
Cons: Everything was great!

6.7 Good
Pros: The room was fine
Cons: Ac so loud I couldn’t leave it on overnight. The design of building is pretty dysfunctional— narrow halls and too many steps. In the U.S. this would be about half the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Cons: Wish the beds were Queensize as we had 4 people in the room and was a little tight. We have a f-150 pickup truck and parking was quite tight in half of the parking lot. If the lower half was filled it was difficult to park.

Pros: The room is cozy, the bath is neat and comfortable. The access to the kitchen was 24/7 for tea, coffee or chocolate milk. Water flavored with fresh cut lemon is available at any time. Stuff is cheerful and helpful. Our teen boys enjoyed the pool until 10:00 pm. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and didn't have a feeling that we overpaid. A few minutes driving from the hotel there is a good Turkish restaurant (closed by 10:00 pm).
Cons: This hotel does not have an elevator, quite a challenge for people with impaired abilities. All nearby restaurants are closed at 10:00 pm.

Cons: One of the elevators didn't function during most of our stay. We traveled with a small child (1 year old) and in my opinion the hotel isn't very suited for a family with small children. That was my bad though, for not thinking it through.

Pros: the breakfast was included in the room, and it was excellent. The first waitress was fantastic. We stayed 4 nights
Cons: A fellow work mate stayed in the hotel but hadn't included his breakfast, his fault but at $32 for breakfast, that shows the hotel chain must be having financial troubles.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal for going into Halifax
6.3 Good
Pros: Location good. Bed very comfortable. Overall clean.
Cons: No second lounge chair. Paper coffee cups - wax from cup appears on top of hot coffee. We expected better from Hilton DT Water constantly on floor by shower door - possible sign of a leak not attended to.

6.7 Good
Pros: Did appreciate the mini bottle of wine for our anniversary and cookies at check in.
Cons: Room was not ready to receive guests. Cup left out on desk, desk chair in middle of room, mattresses were not straightened. Room did not receive a final check before we entered. Went back down to front desk and they advised would have housekeeping do final touches to room. We went to dinner and was done when we returned. Sea views not great not worth the extra $$ for view as we were on 5th floor right on top of a big roof that was a distraction from view we did have. Did appreciate the mini bottle of wine for our anniversary.

Cons: A couple small issues with the cleaning services. Towels and coffee were not always replenished . One night we found someone else's socks in our bed (first night) . Was quite odd. Pros: the easy access to the city.
Cons: i didnt like how they didnt take into consideration of my special requests that were made when i reserved the room through booking.com. i dint care for how loud it was after 11pm, was woken up 3 times and then again at 630am by peoples dogs in near by rooms. didnt like that there was a thick layer of heavy dust on all lamps and alarm clock. didnt like that in their arcade that there was no change machine and had to go up to front desk to make change, also when 2 different machines took $6 from my son and i and the front desk wouldnt come good for it and really didnt even care that their guests were getting ripped off. also, there was no microwave in our king bed room so when my 6yo son and i wanted popcorn we had to use the microwave in the basement in the laundry room.

Pros: The breakfast was good
Cons: There were stains on the curtains and I couldn't turn off the air conditioning. No parking available because of a wedding held there
6.3 Good
Pros: View of Chocolate Lake was very nice, the lounge and restaurant overlooked the lake. Wifi was great, bed was confortable and room was not outdated.

Pros: The property itself had so many amenities we weren’t even expecting, like the game room and the lake view that you can actually go swimming in.
Cons: Everything was very nice, I think the bed could’ve been a little more comfortable as it’s a very hard mattress but other than that all was well

Pros: Breakfast was very good; same each day. Never had bacon, did alternate between sausages and ham. Did not have lactose free milk. Location was very good.
Cons: No Hot tub.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Les grandes fenêtres et la vue
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Possibly the quietest property we have ever stayed in. Heard nothing the whole stay, wondering if we were alone on the floor! Awesome breakfast!
Cons: Parking was difficult. There doesn't seem to be enough spots. The advertised hot tub didn't exist.
