The staff is friendly and service minded. There are plenty of facilities at the hotel compound, such as shops, restaurants and a swimming pool.
The staff at this hotel does not speak English, so I am not sure that I would advice anyone who does not speak Chinese to stay there. Apart from that, I think it is great value for money if you need to be in this part of town.
It was very quiet.
We wanted to check out early and they wouldn't let us. they said that we needed to do that online.
its good and comfortable place.
some staff couldnt speak English.
We liked its location. It is located near to the Tsingua University where we had business.
The receptionists were always busy. We could not find any chance to ask them anything. The carpet in the room was dirty. The towels were very thin that they would get wet too quickly.
The hotel staff is really nice and dependable. The room was big enough, comfortable and clean. We never had any problems. The room save box is big enough for a laptop and many other small gadgets and easy to use. This hotel is at walking distance of a shopping mall and a metro station. And there are also a few restaurants in the street and food carts with fruits, breakfast, or skewed meat, depending on the time of the day. Also is not too hard to get a taxi. And I found an atm that accepted my debit card, also at walking distance. Great hotel for the money, I would definitely stay there again.
The only thing I can mention is that there hotel was under construction at the time of our stay. So the main entrance was closed and taxis could not get all the way in. Didn't bother us at all. Also, there was some noise in the room above us, sounded like they were remodeling or something. But they never made any noise at night or morning, and since we spent most of the day out we didn't even notice. Anyway, the sound was not loud at all.
The hotel is relatively close to Tsinghua University (about 20 minutes walk to the East Gate). The room was was of an adequate standard. Breakfast was decent and inexpensive (30 rmb).
Despite having a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, I received a phonecall from a cleaner trying to service my room. I ate in the hotel one evening and was disappointed by the food.
Although the staff had limited English, they were always more than helpful to meet our requirements. We had many provisions included in our room stay which made our stay much more comfortable, since we stayed 1 month. (ie toothbrushes, fruit, water, paper, shampoo, hand cream etc).
We had a constant clunking noise all night each night from the pipes in the roof in our bathroom. We closed the bathroom door but it was still distracting and annoying. Sometimes the fact that the staff could speak little English became difficult, but just challenged our use of Chinese. Any small problems we encountered were really nothing compared to the hard work of the staff and our clean well-cared for room.
I liked leaving this awful place.
Swimming pool is chargable, took 3 hours to check us into a room, At 1st they offered us a dredful damp box with no window when we had booked the 4 star section. After much complaining and pretending not to speak english we got to speak to a manager who apologised and put us in the proper 4 star room complete with plank to sleep on and as compensation for wasting our day they gave us.... Free breakfast for one when there were 2 of us staying. Plus this hotel is not in a good location for anywhere. Stay elsewhere, everyone we met here hated it.
Very good value. I paid RMB 400 ($60) but it was advertising rooms at RMB285. It's a very big Chinese hotel in the university district, used by academics, foreign (African, Asian) students and local business people, not European business men. It has 9 separate wings with different standard rooms.
Most staff don't speak English, and you need a taxi or metro (station 500m away, about 1 hr ride to the centre including a long walk interchange) to get anywhere other than the university. Breakfast is a crush, and the European offering limited (but eggs and bacon OK).
